  • Lost Sheep seeking truth

In a nutshell, that is myself. Life throws many things at us, and has done at me. I realize the only meaningful purpose of life is to follow God's will and to save our souls and those of others.

I myself have lived far too long by the wayside, unwilling to follow the example of my grandparents. It would be easy to blame my parents for their lack of positivity, but I'm sure the Lord would only tell me to blame myself and to rectify my mistakes by coming back into the fold.

I am married. I do not live in the country of my birth any longer. I live now in Spain and have no idea if there is a true church in this country.

My humble greetings to all. All help and advice appreciated.

Praise Jesus and welcome to God's favorite forum. Please don't be shy, friend! Give us your testimony. We all enjoy hearing stories about how you came to find Jesus.

It is a rigged road we tread, but Jesus always wins.

      Re: Lost Sheep seeking truth

Thank you for the welcome, and the warning I recieved. I'm grateful. Very misguided of me to post before introducingh myself.

I do not claim to have found the Lord yet, only seeking, and hopefully he'll find me worthy.

After some periods of depression in the past, I came to the conclusion that the core of my life was rotten. It was actually the Mormons who made me realise this. Afetr a chat with their missionaries in the street, it dawned on me that THAT was not what I was looking for, but rather I needed to find true salvation.

My grandparents were Baptists, but they died before I was 6 years old and my parents were very anti-religion. So i never really received much influence.

I have ordered a correct bible on e-bay and am awaiting its arrival. The only available bibles here are Catholic and in Spanish. I can read Spanish no problem, but I'd imagine you wouldn't recommend their version. Please forgive the mere suggestion.

Where does my path begin, Pastor?

I have shouted glory, several times in fact, and I think I genuinely accept Him. I have searched my feelings. How can I know if I have enough faith? I wouldn't want to go about it all wrong.

Having been in the Abyss, I do not wish to mess up as I did with most of the rest of my life. I feel rather worthless among you here. I am quite ignorant of scripture apart from the aforementioned Spanish bible my wife's mother lent me. Unworthy of the benevolence shown me.

I hope to grow and learn from you sisters and brothers. Praise be He that called me.

Are you worthy? That is a good question, are any of us truly worthy of the love of Jesus?I am but a woman and have sinned,I ask for forgiveness many times per day from my Lord and Savior,Jesus.
Repent your sins ,get your self to a Baptist church.Find a Pastor and ask him to help you.Wash your self in the Blood of Jesus.

Have you ever committed a sin like killing, cheating on your wife, using the Lords name in vein? Are you a Homersexural ?

I have never cheated on my wife or killed anyone though I have smashed a bottle in a mugger's face while he was attacking a young woman outside a bar once. He was arrested but got off. Those were in the dark days when I had turned to drink unfortunately.

I do cuss quite a bit, but never using the Lord's name. I use the F word and the Sh word a good deal. I know it's sinful and am trying to stop.

I am not homosexual. They disgust me. Though I have never openly insulted one or anything like that.

Would it be wiser for me to observe the forum for a while and learn before posting other threads on matters that perturb me, e.g. the swearing and cussing thing and on how to find a Baptist church in this Catholic country?

Helping a woman in distress is not a bad thing.
Using foul language should be avoided,if you slip ,pray for forgiveness.
                Homers are disgusting period.
There has to be a Baptist church some where in your country,Cathreliks are not CHRISTIAN.They worship Mary and not Jesus.
I suggest you Email one of our pastors, they very well could know of a Christian church in your area.

Should I google Baptist Churches? Would that be within decency?

Thank you. I feared using google as it is generally a tool of ungodliness.

I will righteously google the item and let you know if I have any luck. Thanks.

Pray I find one within reasonable driving distance.

If you have to drive clear across Spain,is that to far to save your soul? I think not. I drove across 4 states to find Jesus in Freehold !

                          Exactly Sister Sledge.

I've found one in Madrid. It's around 600 kilometres I think. Reasonably handy, especially with my wife being from Madrid originally. She has family there.

She has all her sisters and me there together now.

I'll let you know how I get on. It's going to be a lot of extra expense in petrol mind you, but nevertheless every Euro well spent.

Also, I wanted to leave a visitor message of thanks forSister Lola, but am unable to do so. Would this be because I am as yet unworthy of that function on the forum? If so, I accept that, and would like to thank her for accepting the friend request here. She has been most helpful in guiding me. thank you and may your family prosper in Jesus, fruitfully, fertilely and holily.
