    Hello Christian Brothers

Hello friends. Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Mervyn. How are you? I found this website by happy accident (or was it His will perhaps?) and I am overjoyed to find fellow Christians who speak the Word of God as He intended. Praise the Lord. I know that here I will be able to find the answers that I have been seeking.

About myself: I am a 32 year old white man and am engaged to a beautiful 35 year old white woman, who is also mother to two beautiful white boys from a previous marriage. I grew up attending a Pentecostal church, however I always found the hibbity-jibbity-gobbeldy-gook tongues language to be absurd and discomforting. I never felt quite right associating myself with those people. In my teenage years I started to withdraw from the church and got involved in the "Punk Rock" lifestyle. And that is when my life turned for the worse.

I became possessed by a demon called Addiction. I was addicted to booze, drugs, and young tight firm women with round narrow bottoms and supple perky breasts. I was an empty, soulless shell of a man and after many years of sinful living in the ways of the world I found myself homeless, friendless, and most of all, Godless.

I went to an AA meeting, and after listening to their hippy-dippy philosophy about trusting in a "God of my understanding", I chose to put my faith in the One True God. Not the God of peace and love and tolerance that I was raised to believe in, but the God that I knew to be true: a vengeful, jealous smiter whose Word must be followed explicitly in order to find true salvation (hallelujah!) . By putting my trust in our One True God and following his will and his Word to the letter, I was able to combat my demons AMEN!

I do have questions but I will be sure to ask them in the appropriate sections, as I do realize that this is strictly for introductions only. I do look forward to meeting all of you and making new eternal friends in the brotherhood of Christ!

    God Bless You,
    Mervin Kohl Duggar

Welcome, that is quite a testimony. Although, I hope you've since broken ties with that AA cult.

What is your favorite Bible verse, Mervyn? What church do you attend? Is your fiancee a divorcee or widow?

Hello Reverend Jim. It is a pleasure to meet you. You have actually hit on some bullet points that I wish to discuss with the fellow Christians on the site, such as AA and my fiancee's divorcee status.

I do not attend any church as I currently live in what I call Satan's taint (Los Angeles, Ca.) and have found virtually every "church" here to share the same hippy-dippy "peace love and tolerance" brand of "Christianity" that I believe to be abominable in the eyes of our Lord. Currently I find fellowship with my lord through constant prayer and careful study of my KJV Bible. Praise God. However I realize that this is not enough, and that is why I turn to this website.

My favorite Bible verse is Deuteronomy 32:35 "To me belongeth vengeance and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste."

      God Bless You,
      Mervyn Kohl Duggar

Glad to hear you have you mind right son. I assume your fiancé's a widower, right? No man alive wants anothers toss-away.
So now that you turned your life around, what kind of work do you do my boy?
What is keeping you in that hellhole of a city?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

            Re: Hello Christian Brothers

Hello, Mervyn! It is nice to see a newcomer so quickly find Jesus and his favorite forum. You know, being known in my town for being a caring, patient person, I recently was asked to lead a group for AA. Naturally, I was excited, because here I could convert these sinners, and I studied my KJV1611 Bible all night in order to create the perfect speech. But after one day of reading the Bible to them and telling them of the only way to be saved from eternal damnation, I was asked to leave by the heads . The people there are obviously bigger sinners than the alcoholics they're trying to help. And here I thought I did what they wanted (I even resisted the temptation to beat one girl dressed like a slut), when in fact it probably would have pleased them more for me to have told the group to worship satan!
