My name is Father Thomas Martin. I am a Catholic priest, and the pastor of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Waterford, WI.

I come to have various discussions with my separated brethren, knowing we disagree on several things, but also trusting it will be civil, as we both share the faith in God our Father through His Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

So, I pray that we all may one day come to the unity that Our Savior intended for us, and that he may help us through the intercession of His Mother, The Most Blessed Virgin Mary.

    Thanks be to God!
Oh, great, another wretched pagan papist who fancies that by some bizarre fluke he won't get booted to hell when he has to explain why he dedicated his life to worshipping a slimy fish-headed nazi.

I suppose you've come to tell us we're in the wrong, sinner? You will notice we are a 100% biblically based chuch. You mary-worshippers choose to interpret the bible based on whimsy. Why, you don't even read a real bible! The cathylick bible is no more the correct bible than Harry Potter! I bet you read Harry Potter instead of the bible, don't you???

    Get thee hence, Voldemort worshipper!!!

Amen, Brother Temperance. Add to that their shameless selling of indulgences, scapulas, relics of the "true cross" as hors d'oeuvre toothpicks for eucharist buffets, speaking in ejaculations, and holy oil chrisms and blessed wine cruets. There is no end to the corruption of these cathylicks at the hand of Satan.

Right. Back then they tortured innocent people (and joos too) into worshiping the roman pope.

Nowadays they rape children on the altar of their cult churches.

Not much difference really....And certainly not Christian behavior.

You know, Pastor, earlier today I was elsewhere, reading up on some things -- and guess what? -- all of this appears to be true after all --

The whole sordid mess of the past centuries certainly does look as if it has been running on ignorance, and outright evil -- the work of satan? could it be? scary!

Now if that hellish mess has been the foundation of the sort of Christianity I've been used to all these years, then I would have to reconsider -- seriously

Both John Paul II and Benedict XVI have repeatedly apologized to the victims' descendants and pleaded for God's forgiveness on the Church for these...

I'm not religious at all but Catholics seem like rather nice people apart from being against contraceptives. Also, the Vatican has some very nice artwork in it (especially partial to the Caravaggio paintings) so there's a bit of extra credit

    Friend,

Considering that we guys are the ones going to heaven and everyone else is going to burn in hell, are you sure you are glad you are not like us. You seem a nice enough person, I would hate to see you burn in Hell next to the likes of Ted Kennedy and Hilary Clinton.
