  • Hi

    My name is Eden.
    I am female.
    I am single.
I live in a rented house with some friends, who all go to college. (I couldn't go this semester because of a mix-up with my paperwork during registration, but I'll be starting this summer)
My favorite Bible verse is in my signature.
I attend a local church called Faith Quest.
A dream of mine is to travel the world and spreading the Gospel.
I doubt any of you would want to know my favorite TV shows or movies or anything like that, so I'll just leave that out.

That about wraps it up. Any questions?
Zephaniah 3:17 The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

    Re: Hi

Welcome, Eden! As a fairly new member myself, I know how hard it is to write an introduction and present yourself to your new-found brothers and sisters in Christ. But you did an excellent job of completing a prepared questionnaire to give us a snapshot of who you are.

Bless you and welcome again! I hope we can share a snake dance or speak in tongues together some day.

      Re: Hi

Hello Eden. Do you have your father's permission to be on here?

Are you planning to get married and have a family soon, as Jesus intends?

Do you attend a Bible college, or is it a godless liberal university? If so, I must warn you the "friends" you are living with are probably lesbians who will rape you if you let your guard down.

What denomination is your church? Why does it sound like the name of a bad syndicated television action series?

My dad died about 9 years ago.
It's Lone Star community college in Kingwood. I don't have the funds to attend a university and the closest Bible college that I know of is in Pearland, WAAAYY out of the way.
I'm not sure about the denomination of the church, since I just started attending a couple weeks ago. I'm not sure where that name came from, but it does sound like a bad TV show.

Mea culpa, Pastor Zeke. As you know, I'm still a little green and wet behind the ears with Catholic holy water when it comes to entering the Baptist faith.

And you still aren't married? But who is making your decisions for you??

Why would a woman need to go to college? Is there a cooking course there? Because you can learn faster just practicing at home...

Nothing's too out of the way when it comes to God!

Why would you ever join a church without knowing if it's a conservative, Bible-believing Baptist church?!

You need to get right with God, Miss Eden!

Well, I'm making my own decisions. At this point in my life, I don't have a lot of "life-changing" decisions to make s I don't really see it as a big deal.
There is a cooking course, but there are also 2 separate classes where you learn all about the historical, cultural, and literary approaches to understand the Bible. (1 class for the Old Testament and 1 for the New Testament). It's not offered in the summer courses, but it is offered again in the fall.
I would love to attend that Bible college in Pearland, but I don't have a car, and I highly doubt any of my friends would be willing to drop me off and pick me up every time I had a class. It sucks, but I gotta work with what I got.
The church is a 5 minute walk from my house and the next closest church is about 3-4 miles away. I never really paid attention to the denomination, but I don't think it's a Baptist church. I know it's a conservative, Bible-believing church, though.

You sound like Jezebel. God intends for women to be ruled over by men, it says so in the Bible repeatedly.

If it's being taught at a secular school, there's no point. Those schools are controlled by Satan and want to teach you lies.

Let's be frank here, you shouldn't be going to school at all. Why do you need a diploma to pop out babies for your future husband?

That's not good enough. All non-Baptists are going to hell. Is that where YOU want to go?

So you prefer going to hell over taking a little walk?
5 Reasons why GOD HATES WOMEN!
To most "Christians" The Bible is like a license agreement. They just scroll to the bottom and click "I agree". All those "Christians" will burn in Hell!
