    Official Greetings from Beaux

    Greetings, Fellow Freeholders!

    I’m introducing myself here not just as a member of your forum, but as a candidate in the Freehold Elections for Mayor.

    Many of you may know me as the Empresario (or Artistic Director) of the Freehold Community Players (now in our record-breaking 24th Season*!) But don’t worry; I have more than enough energy to not only take on the position of Mayor, but to continue to deliver the type of professional yet affordable productions you’ve come to expect from The Players.

    I wish all of you a good day, and hope you’ll all drop in on my official Mayorial Bid here.

    * For those who've been asking, our upcoming season will include the frolicsome musical Little Mary Sunshine, the searing one-woman show The Belle of Amhurst (a tribute to the legendary poet Emily Dickinson) , and a new translation of Sophocles’ immortal Greek tragedy Antigone.

      Hi Mr McManus, nice to have you online. I think I have seen you before, at Bob's gun shop in downtown Freehold?

      Tell me Beaux, I though 'people' from San Fransico and South Beach were the only ones in musicals?

      What is your wifes name, perhaps Mrs. Hutchins knows her from after Church tea?

          Hello there, Mr. Hutchins! Thank you for stopping by and supporting my thread!

          To answer your question, no, I am not married as of yet. At this point in my life, I am "married" to my career.

          All kinds of people are involved in the great enterprise of the American Theatre. I'm proud to say I've worked and collaborated with artistes from all walks of life, and all kinds of temperament. And I'm proud to say they've all been proud to work and collaborate with me!

          If you'd like to see just how much diversity there is within the great tradition of Mucical Theatre, The Junior Cadets of The Freehold Players will probably be staging a benefit performance of The Singing Bee this Saturday, to raise awareness of my candidacy. You're welcome to join us onstage, as we need extra adults there with the little ones in case their "flying" wires get tangled.

          The role of the Bee King is still open.
