Greetings, Fellow Freeholders!

I'm pleased to announce I’ll be running for Mayor in the Freehold Election!

Many of you may know me as the Empresario (or Artistic Director) of the Freehold Community Players (now in our record-breaking 24th Season!) But don’t worry; I have more than enough energy to not only take on the new position of Mayor, but to continue to deliver the type of professional yet affordable productions you’ve come to expect from The Players.

Where there’s a will, there’s a way!

As I look around Freehold, I’m reminded how now, more than ever, we’ve still not achieved the equality of representation that’s become the Golden Standard across our United States. Where are our women in office, our people of color, our brothers and sisters who may be different from you or I? America is a rainbow, and only one color is represented in our otherwise fine town now.

Well, as a trained and versatile actor, I can represent you all. I am Everyman! I also promise to review the tenacious hold our local churches have on local government, so we’re not forever yoked to the heavy cart of an imposed religion. Our forefathers came to this country as PROTESTants….and there should be no fear in PROTESTING the current marriage of Church and State.

Let’s bring Freehold into the 21st Century, TOGETHER!

That is a grace accusation you are leveling, Mr. Reconstruction.

I would gladly answer the inquiry you seem to be making, but it is a professional actor's policy to keep their private life seperate from their public image.

I have played a variety of roles with the Freehold Community Players (everything from the grieving father/husband in Hansel and Gretel to the trapeze swinging nightclub owner in our condensed workshop production of the hollocaust drama Bent), and will continue to do so.

To open my inner world to public gaze would break the illusion we actors create onstage. Again, it is not that I am not proud of who I am, it is that such revelations are not in the better interest of the audience.

Yes, I remember when I was last visiting Freehold, there was supposedly a production of Equus that you'd put together. Imagine my surprise when I saw the male version of a Tijiuana pony show!

I thought they burned down your playhouse after that?

The production of Equus that I staged and starred in was at the now defunct Freehold Little Theater, on Court Street.

No, the production was not "obscene", as so many of your fellow church-goers insisted at the time, and Yes, that historic theatre space was burned to the ground following opening night.

I realize now that that production was ahead of its time. I had Vision, and I still do. It is this same forward-looking vision that can bring a new happiness, serenity, and sense of inclussion to the Freehold I know and love.

Thanks for your support, Cassie, and your friendship request! It means a lot to me to have support from my fellow Landoverians. I do remember that your parents bought you a season subscription to the Little Theatre one year -- we keep quite extensive subscription records from our patrons -- but then they cancelled it and demanded a refund after that whole, unfortunate Equus debacle. I later tried to contact you to offer you your own "student rate" discount, but you'd moved out of the house by then.

Thank you, Sariel. I'm very concerned by the way the Landover Baptist Church and the Town Council (one and the same?) seem to be throwing a lot of their resources behind a certain candidate. Just why is he being allowed to use the City Hall lawn for his Anita Bryant concert/BBQ??

Of course, as those of us who grew up here know, these kinds of shenangins are nothing new in Freehold. But I really, really hope SOMEONE will be able to break this absolute LOCK the church has on all of us, whether we're members of that church or not.
