My father takes me to First Baptist Woodstock. My favorite scripture is Luke 14:26 and the best pie I bake is pumpkin.

Hello, TITL, do you process your own pumpkins from your pumpkin patch, or do you use the canned stuff. The canned stuff is good, but there's nothing like a real pumpkin pie.

For now, I used canned pumpkin. When my father and mother pick a husband for me and I live with him I will grow my own.

I have never considered that before. Since I do not go to the market I did not know the have them, I will ask my father if he can buy a few for me.

My mother taught me how to make the pie. She taught me a lot of things, like cooking, cleaning, even sewing. My dad beats me when I need it. God gave me wonderful parents.

Brother, this is one of those kitchen secrets that men don't need to know about, but it is very hard to get the right kind of pumpkin from the market. Usually the market sells Jack-o-lantern pumpkins which are bred for size and uniformity. What you need to make a pie is sugar pumpkins which are quite a bit smaller.

I made this mistake when I was younger for a family dinner. My father did not appreciate my tasteless "wood pulp pie" as he called it.
