-Call me old fashioned but I really like the first and second chapters of Genesis. There's just something about the story of creation that connects with me.

-Nope, no sons. I'm not married yet but I have been dating a girl for the past 2 years. I figure marriage can wait until I'm out of college and have a steady job.

-Roman Catholic. We believe that one can find Jesus in baptism but to truly find him you have to accept him into your heart when you are old enough to make that decision. For me, it was at 15.

-Came across a link to here on a website. I'm always interested to talk to new people and discover new ideas so i subscribe to several forums.

Son I do hope you understand that Catholics are not Christian. Son why don't you want to go to Heaven? Why do you worship Mary and not her Son Jesus? Are you aware of what God says about false worship?

Don't you just love Catliks. Monday through Friday they run around sinning. Show up Saturday to confess to a Pedophile priest. They get direction to say 10 hail marys and 5 our fathers. Then on Sunday they show up for Mass, cut a check to the Pope and start all over on Monday!

Of course I want to go to Heaven! And through Christ I will! Yes it is disturbing that there are pedophiles within the Catholic church but this is true with all religions. I just avoid the pedophile priests to ensure I do not associate with them. I fail to see how it is a "false" religion.

Bad Catholics maybe. I try to avoid sin as much as possible but being human sometimes temptation gets the best of me. Luckily Jesus died for my sins so they can be forgiven!

The May crowning is a practice of honoring Mary as the Mother of Jesus. Not worshiping her as a God. Peter is not a God, he is one of the Apostles of Christ and a Saint in the Catholic Church.

Of course I want to go to Heaven! And through Christ I will! Yes it is disturbing that there are pedophiles within the Catholic church but this is true with all religions. I just avoid the pedophile priests to ensure I do not associate with them. I fail to see how it is a "false" religion.

Well if you want to go to Heaven then you better start being a True Christian(TM). Why would you stay with a Church that promotes Pedophile priests? We do not have one single pervert Pastor or Member. How do you know if the guy is a pedophile, does he have a sign or does he just tell you?

The problem is you can not be saved unless you are a Christian. Jesus died temporally for all of us so we can rejoin him in heaven. Its called salvation. You are not Baptised in a Christian Church, you are not saved now are you. If you are not saved its off to hell.

Wait so you believe through Baptism one is saved? Because I always thought accepting Christ as your savior saved you? Regardless I have had both so I guess it's Heaven for me.

Also, interesting post. It gave me a lot to think about. Although I think there is some misunderstanding on the posters part as the Catholic Church of the past has much less in common with today's Catholic church. But thank you for the information!
