After doing a bit of browsing around this forum, I think I'm finally in the right place. I'll tell you a bit about myself. I'm a 45-year-old history teacher in a Christian, non-denominational high school near our nation's capital. I am a ten-year member of Independent Baptist Church of Georgetown. I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to share my faith in Jesus Christ with folks like yourselves and I am always striving to spread the Word to everyone I meet. I think it's vital in today's world that we get the message out to everybody we possibly can. People need to know now more than ever what the Bible and being a Christian is all about. I hope you don't mind if I quote a favorite verse from Scripture.
Many thanks for the chance to be among you. I hope the "investigation" will be expeditious.
Matthew 28:18-20 (King James Version)
18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
I found a typo in my very first post and want to be quick to acknowledge it. I wrote "many thinks" and meant to say, "many thanks". Sorry for the error. I will try not to let it happen again.
