    Hello from TX!

My name is Stella, and I would like to tell you my salvation story.
My mother was very much into Greek mythology. When I was born, she told everyone that she concieved me with the "great god Zeus" and that I was his daughter. She said that I was going to save the world and create a Utopia for mankind. I believed this for quite a while.
When I was about 2 years-old, my mother met a man named Sam Wilder and married him because she believed that he was sent to us to protect me until I was able to lead mankind to peace. Sam told me later that he was only going with my mother believe for sex.
I was about 12 years-old when I stopped believing that. My mother kept getting commited to a mental institution and then released when the doctors believed she "got better", but then she would stop taking her meds and start with the story again.
Greek mythology was the only thing I was ever raised to believe. I had heard about Christianity, but only from people talking about how "hypocritical" and "bogus" it was. I was so confused, because I knew in my heart that there was something else out there, but I was being told that there wasn't.
That was until I met a man in my high school English class named Alan James Buckley, but most people just called him A.J.
He had come from a broken home where there was a basic belief that God existed, but his family never went to church or even opened the Bible. He told me that he opened that Bible, which was only being used as the family's coffee table decoration at the time, after hearing his parents argue and calling each other horrible, dirty, unGodly names (far too obscene to say here) and found his heart fill with hope and joy, specifically after reading Psalm 22.
A.J. lead me to accept Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and we were married after high school graduation. The following September, I gave birth to twins: Matthew James Buckley and Sarah Elizabeth Buckley.
I have not been in contact with my mother since I graduated, but from what I hear from Sam and the rest of my family, she's still in and out of mental facilities (and out of her mind!) So, until she straighten's up once and for all, she's not allowed anywhere near my children.
Well, I guess that's enough about me and my crazy life.
It's wonderful to meet such a Godly group of believers!

      Re: Hello from TX!

Welcome Stella. Psalm 22 is indeed stirring. Do you know Jesus referenced it on the cross? Many mockers completely misunderstand this and believe Jesus lost faith on the cross. Ha. That's what you get for selective reading of the Bible. They are so simpleminded.

Have you considered getting your mother out of those doctors care and taking her for a proper exorcism? She is clearly infested with demons. You're absolutely right to keep your children away from her until those demons have been chased out of her.

And again, welcome. I hope you stick around for a while so we can all get to know one another and God's Word better.

@ Cranky Old Man: Yes I do have my husband's permission to be here.

@ Brother Enoch: According to the law, if my mother is unable to take care of herself and make her own decisions (which she is not), then the only person who can make decisions for her would be her spouse if she is married (if not, then the responsibility goes to her children as long as they are over 18). Since she is married to Sam, it would be his decision, and (since he doesn't believe in demons) he won't take her out of the hospital!
I have no say in it whatsoever!

And thank you all for your kind welcomes!

I am glad to hear that. How many sons have you given your husband?

What church do you attend Stella? What does your husband do for a living? What is the best pie you make?

Hi Stella, a close freind of mine. Mary Sue Garfield, was talking with me the other day, she mentioned a person with your name, said she was from the Humble area of Texas. Are you the same person or is it just a coincidence?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Hi Stella. So do you a fan of the Aggies or the Horns? Personally, I can't stand anything that has to do with that liberal, wanton den of sodomy and vice Austin, so I'm Aggie all the way (even though I didn't go to school there... but that's how most of us hardcore football fans are). We drive up to Lubbock from time to time as well to catch some Tech football. If there's anything I love almost as much as Jesus, it's football!

You really hit one out of the park with twins on the first try! And just a year out of high school too! Way to go!

My wife will be 30 in a few years, and she has yet to produce twins for me. I can't complain too much though; she does give me a son each year, which is what we agreed upon.

Anyways, glad to have another Texan here on our friendly forum!

Well, to be fair, not exactly hitting it out of the park. More like hitting it off the wall. Only one of the twins was a boy. But an inside the park home run is pretty good too.
