    Introduction

    Hello Friends,
I'm never really good at introductions, but my name is Peter, I'm from Ontario, Canada, and I'm visiting this forum to explore, learn, and discuss. I currently attend the Bethel Tabernacle of Preston with my family. We have a Wednesday service to support Missions, we have a Friday service to support young people, a Saturday Prayer Meeting to support those who have prayer requests and services all Sunday, including a morning service, Sunday school, and and evening service.

I, personally, attend the University of Waterloo and I'm studying Mathematics. I have strong interests in Creationism, Politics, and Theology.

I hope that I can engage in interesting discussion with other users here as we all go down life's road to ultimately be with our Lord and Saviour.

Welcome to God's favorite forum, friend.

What denomination is that tabernacle of yours? Which Bible version do you use?

      Re: Introduction

My church in independent of any denomination. What we do is we look at what the Word of God says and go from there. There's no dogma or special doctrinal things that we do outside the Word of God. If the Word of God says to do something, we do it; if it says not to do something, we don't do it.

Additionally, we use both the KJV Bible and the Interlinear Bible for study.

          Very well:

          For instance, James 5:
14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

In the case where there is a sick member of our church, the elders gather in prayer to drive the demonic spirits that are causing illness out of the body. Going to the hospital would show a lack of faith, especially because prayer works 100% of the time!

Kiddo, that's the best way to go about things with the faith healing, but we all know the LORD answers all prayers at one point or another.

It's not really about this world.. That's why we have to look forward to nothing but the next, where we will live in gold mansions!

He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.
