    I think God might be good if It would have been real. I think men and women made a hatefull and spitefull image of It, if It would exist. I think the God that should have been would have liked true religion. Especially the kind of true religion that made people think twice (or more) before mocking It's message.

    Okay, I respect that you all have your opinion and religion, but hating anyone that isnt your religion is NOT okay. Why exactly DO you hate gays? Or blacks? And if your just going to referance that one part of the bible where it says something about a man and a woman only or something like that I DONT want to hear it. Just because they are different does not make them "evil" as I've seen some of you say. And finally, calling someone who isnt part of your religion "trash" is VERY offensive.     The war is expensive, that's a fact. But we did get rid of Saddam. And although Osama bin Laden hasn't been caught yet, there have been no major attacks on American soil anymore. And much of the money went to American companies, so it got pumped back into the American economy again.

    What really hurt the American economy wasn't so much the war, but the housing crisis.

    Sorry, but that's a strawman. If you're going to point out bad things about Americans as a group, then I can point out good things about Americans as a group.

    It is fallacious to then point to individuals who do not represent Americans to try to disprove my claim. Unless the majority of Americans consider Charles Mansion their moral leader, it would be silly to consider him representative of American values.

    If there's evil in the world, there's high probability that the ones fighting it will be Americans. That the ones bleeding financially for it will be Americans. The ones bleeding literally will be Americans.

    Your claim is not relevant to the crux of the argument, so I have no interest in verifying whether you were there. I'll take it at face value. I've never been there myself, but I talk regularly to people who are and were.

    Thus, in my view, my own interest goes a little further than the cavalier attitude you ascribe to Americans. War should never be taken lightly. Once you start, you have to finish it. That's pretty much the situation in Iraq: we won the war within a week or two.

    So why are we "stuck" there? All military objectives have been reached years ago. Saddam is dead, etc. The reason we're there is because we want them to establish a free and thriving democracy. It's difficult for them because of their violent history, but we're still there -- no matter the cost. That is commitment to a case.

    It is rare that you will see an American back down from something he started. Quitting is not an American value.

    Doubt that very much so. Antigua is not an unknown by any stretch of the imagination considering it was a famous sailing port in the west indies during the 1500's for trading...
