Welcome, young miss. You have come to the right place if you want to learn about God and Jesus. My heart is filled with joy that God has brought you here!

Have you been baptized? You see, there is a right way and a wrong way. If you were sprinkled as an infant by a pederast priest, then you were baptized incorrectly.

You must first ask Jesus into your heart. You must admit that you are a sinner deserving only of eternal damnation, but that you ask Christ for His forgiveness. This is why he died on the cross (temporarily) for you! So that you may receive His gift of Eternal Life! It is a gift that only He can give. A very special gift. How do you normally feel when you receive a special gift? Feels pretty good, right?

So when you have received Him into your heart, then you are ready to be baptized in water and in the Holy Spirit. The Greek word baptizo means "to immerse." Only full immersion reflects the significance of being buried and raised with Christ.

Romans 6: 3-4
Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

There are no two ways about it.

Ephesians 4:5-6
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

The importance of being baptized by full immersion cannot be overstated.

John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

I am from a Baptist family, and the more I read the divine Word, the more I fall in love with it. Inspired and inspirational, I love to learn more about my God and King.

I read and refer to the King James, yes. I have read other versions for classes, but they never seem anything more than vague shadows of the true Word of God.

In answer to your third question, I pray for that each and every day.

What a wonderful ministry you have.

I was baptised seven years ago, when I was fifteen, by full immersion (naturally). I had wanted to have been baptised prior to that, but my parents insisted on a three year waiting period of penance, prayer, and study. As much as it pained me to wait, the discipline it gave me and the sureness of my beliefs after that season are true blessings. My being baptised was truly one of the greatest moments of my small and insignificant life. I feel so blessed to have been called by my Almighty and heavenly Father.

Forgive my not replying sooner, a trangression of mine (I read a piece in a non Christian newspaper online while studying) meant that my father read nothing but King James for a day or two to remind me why we choose to ignore such trash.

At the moment we and a few faithful friends are worshipping as a home church, with a hope to planting ourselves as a seed to grow into a magnificent oak for God. I am so proud of my father for his vision and hope for this. We have worshipped elsewhere, but have often been forced to leave churches when we refuse to kowtow to what we see as moral decisions which are in error. We know our faith is pure and right, and would rather serve God correctly than compromise our beliefs in order to be within a church. I was so excited when I found Landover though - so many people here seem to be just like my family and I, good solid Christians with an idea of what's right and a lust for the truth!

I always enjoy Matthew 4:4. A wonderful way of calling to mind what really matters, particularly in this fallen world! And the beauty of Jesus defying and defeating his tempter in that passage never fails to thrill the heart!
