    Hello, I'm new

Hello, my name is Juan Salvadores and I am a Christian from the country of Suriname. I'm interested in different Christian groups around the world, because I believe all Christians should unite in the word of love that is Jesus.

This is my favourite passage from the Bible:
    Luke 18:9-14

And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
13And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

    Nice meeting you.

    Welcome to our friendly forum!

Do they have Baptist churches in Suriname?

Excuse me, but what does this mean that I am "Unsaved Trash"? Is this a truly Christian website or is it a joke? I don't understand. How can you label me as "unsaved trash" if you don't know me or my faith? If this is a form of humour, please someone explain it to me.

This is not a forum of humor. It's a forum of The Lord's Holy Word®.

I have attended various Christian churches, and the version I quoted is the New King James Version, my favourite translation of the bible.

Have you noticed the number of trolls we get here? It's amazing. I'm sure the Pastors have banned at least 25 just today.

Everyone starts as unsaved trash until the Pastors do a background check on you and you've proven that you are not here to prove trouble. Then you can graduate to a forum member. As for True Christian™ Well that involves long conversations with the Pastors and setting up a tithing schedule.

Oooh, almost. If you want to be Truly saved, you need to get a KJV 1611 Version. Some subtleties are missed in the NKJV, here's a link that explains it.
Doesn't it just modernize the words of the King James Bible? Why should I read the King James and not the helpful New King James?

Heh, tell me about it. Sometimes it feels like we're all being herded back to the Colosseum to be eaten by wild animals. Persecution by the atheo-fascists and secular elites lets us know we're on the True Path(tm) though.

                      Matthew 5:10-12
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
                      II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Greetings Brother Juan,

Let me apologize for my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. But we have had many many demonic forces plague our little forum over the past several days and we are all on edge.

Naturally such edginess will go away with some good old fashioned bible preaching and remembering to tithe to America's Favorite Church™

But thank the Lord that you found us!! And welcome to our humble congregation that asks nothing more than to accept that the word of our Lord Jesus (as found in the King James Version) is final and absolute.

                        Praise Jesus!!

I do not think this passage vindicates wrong-doing in any way. It is my favourite passage because it teaches that men should not seek to show and prove to others that they are "righteous". God will judge each man and woman in turn, and we must remain humble for no man is perfect.
