Mr. Beck while your wife erred the guilt rests squarely with you. you did not have control of your household.
Might I suggest that if you wish to return to the good graces of our Pastors you should make a heartfelt Public apology to the Congregation for your dereliction of your duties. I would include several bible verses explaining where and why you went wrong.Several verses for each and every transgression you admit to. You should also confess publicly all past sins and give scripture why you should still be worthy of our Lords love. Also if you have pictures of any of the said sins I would email them directly to the Pastor so he might judge if you have been repetitive enough.

        Re: Goodevening Landover!

Aim For Heaven, I know that I sinned and that I messed up by not keeping a close eye on her and making sure my computer was properly locked, therefore losing all control over my own house. That is something no man should ever do. Because she is pregnant, I have chosen not to beat her too badly due to the fact that she may be carrying my future sons. I have found other suitable punishments for her. She has to clean even longer, what little spare time she gets, she is locked in our closet to pray and beg for the Lord's forgiveness. I do see where I went wrong, and I found some verses that show me that I should have been a better man of God.

        Genesis 18:19
For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

        Numbers 1:4
And with you there shall be a man of every tribe; every one head of the house of his fathers.
        Matthew 6:26
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

          Re: Goodevening Landover!

Jake, it seems you are not doing an adequate job of asserting your Heaven-ordained authority over your wife. Here is a website with many good pointers:

          Christian Domestic Discipline

          II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Jake you cite the Bible about your wife and your lack of control but I hear no contrition for your past sins, are you trying to say that this is the one and only sin in your life?

              Re: Goodevening Landover!

Oh no, I DID have past sins, but ever since I found Jesus and accepted him into my life, I haven't done anything other than this. And as we all know, the moment we accept Jesus, our sins are washed away because he gave his own life (temporarily) so that we could be forgiven through him. Our Lord knows of my past indiscretions and and I have faith that he has forgiven me. I opened my heart to god before I ever found this forum, and since then have tried very hard and not to sin, and if I had I prayed for hours to be forgiven.

It say so, clearly in the KJV1611 Bible.

                  Act 2:38
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
                  Acts 13:38
"Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.
                  Hebrews 9:22
In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
                  Matthew 6:26
26Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

Uhm, nope. I wouldnt go Catholic to save my bloody life. See, I don't like being on my knees in front of priest. I don't know whats under there.

As for my misquote. I messed up by not making sure my Bible verse search on my computer was set to the King James. I have a program that allows me to search for anything Biblical, in whatever version, and I searched wrong. Here.

                          Acts 13:38
Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
                          Acts 26:18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
I found better verse. Here. have at it.
                          Matthew 6:26
