    Serious Questions

First off, the questions I'm asking are because I legitamitely want to know the answers. I am not trying to convince you guys of anything or argue or any of that crap. Now I know this happens a lot, but please give me some real answers instead of telling me to read my rights on the forum and the FAQ and that I should tell you all about myself and all that. And yes Felicity I guess we can be friends.

Now that that's over, the questions.

#1 - Why the KJV1611? What makes it different than other Bibles? The only thing I know about it is that it was the first Bible that was written in the vernacular.

#2 - When was the first Bible written and in what language?

#3 - Do you think it is possible that some of the things said in the KJV1611 Bible are just figures of speech? For example:

    Jeremiah 16:19:
O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

You could conclude that that verse is proof the Earth being flat. But, couldn't it just be an expression that could just as easily be replaced with "all of the world"? Again, just asking...please don't take offense to this... I know you will.

#4 - Can a non-white person be saved? Ever? Even if they completely follow the KJV1611?

#5 - Do you believe that under no circumstances can rape be a man's fault? Never? There is no durranged men out there that rape innocent True Christian women? Is there some sort of verse that confirms this?

#6 - Does God actually hate entire contries just based on generalizations that may only apply to a limited amount of that countrie's population? Or because of certain laws?

#7 - What is supposed to happen if a married person gets raped? (marriage wise)

#8 - Does marriage have anything to do with love? Or is just about having babies? (I'm not talking about sex, I am talking about marriage)

#9 - Should a women ever have a career? What about a women who is not fertile?

#10 - What do you True Christians do for fun? How much time a day do you spend reading the KJV1611?

Hopefully I'll get some serious answers and won't be seen as a devil worshipping atheist...but seeing from so many previous people...my chances seem slim at best...

Really, you atheists are just so rude. You barge in here, don't say a thing about yourself and start demanding answers.

    1. Because God says so
    2. The first KJV Bible was written in 1611
    3. No
    4. Yes
    5. Of course rapes the mans fault, women just ask for it by putting themselves out there.
    6. Yes, the only reason they're not destroyed is because there's at least 10 True Christians living there.
    7. man is supposed to die (Read Deuteronomy 22)
    8. what do you think
    9. don't care
    10. laugh at you behind your back.

There are you happy now precious? Can you go ni-nights now?

Read Pastor Zekes sermon on how to tell real Bibles from false ones.

Not quite. There were quite a few, but King James' men took a more scholarly approach to it.

The age depends on which book. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew. The New in Greek.

      No. We take it literally.

2 Peter 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.

Of course. We have some ex-negros in our congregation.

I don't like the way you say fault. Rape is a horrible crime. We do all we can to prevent it by making sure our women are modestly dressed and not out alone.

Read the scriptures that say that only the man should be put to death under certain circumstances.

Deuteronomy 22:25-27 But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man force her, and lie with her: then the man only that lay with her shall die.
But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:

For he found her in the field, and the betrothed damsel cried, and there was none to save her.

Yes most definitely. He wants them for Christians.

Deuteronomy 31:3-5 The LORD thy God, he will go over before thee, and he will destroy these nations from before thee, and thou shalt possess them: and Joshua, he shall go over before thee, as the LORD hath said. And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he destroyed.
And the LORD shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.

See above. The rapist dies unless it happened in a city. Then they both die.

It's just about having children and setting up hereditary rights. With any luck you will love your mate as I do mine.

No.. Paul writes that woman should be..

Titus 2:5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

I like hunting, fishing and sharing the Word with non-believers. I usually spend an hour or two reading the Bible.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

I didn't think I was being "too rude" or "demanding" answers. You didn't have to answer them...

Also I'm not really an atheist...if you must know I'm a "Catlick"...but from what I've read here that's not much better to you all than an atheist.

Then you need to bury your nose in the Bible pronto! You should also read this thread.

The only thing in that thread that I had a problem with was...

CATHOLIC TRADITION - The mass. Through transubstantiation, the wafer/host and the wine supposedly become the actual blood and body of Jesus Christ when the priest prays over them.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - Jesus died once for sins, never to be repeated. He sits on the right hand of God and does not reappear in the mass as a mass of blood and flesh.

            I don't really understand.

              Read the scriptures.

              1 Corinthians
11:24 And when he [Jesus] had given thanks, he brake it [bread], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come
(not for the forgiveness of sins or to receive Jesus).

Acts 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

Worse. Atheists are generally just ignorant, but catylicks have had the opportunity to hear the Word of God and have made a conscious decision to spit in Jesus's eye.

Both will burn in Hell, of course, but Satan undoubtedly has a special implement prepared for those who worship the Goddess Mary, kiss the Pope's ring and interfere with little boys.

                  I don't pray to Mary.
I don't know much about the Pope or any rings.

                    Re: Serious Questions

Why don't people learn to read before posting. The answers are all in the Bible and on many of the threads. Are people getting lazy and just want quick answers instead of learning the word of the Lord.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Song of Solomon 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.
