I'm Paul Jones. I go to the First Baptist Church after being born and raised Catholic. After I moved, I was accepted into the Church's Youth Group which changed my life and got me serious about the importance and values of the community that the Church is and provides.
When I was 15, my school Janitor handed me a Bible from the Marine Corps. Its cover was camouflaged, and on the inside of the cover, it had written 'John 3:16'. Ever since, it's been my favorite verse, and to me, represents what Christianity means to me.
I love learning about Christianity, religion, history, and what it means to people to be Christian. I think a lot of self-proclaimed Christians give Christianity a bad name, blindly quoting the bible to suit their personal needs while ignoring and forgetting other parts. A true Christian values the word of god equally, if I'm not mistaken, and that means not choosing your favorite parts of the bible to live by.
Also, the 'unsaved trash' title kind of gets me down. A little rude, no?
