Actually, it's Ms. Salt. I'm a girl. And I've been going by the nickname "Salt" for years, but that nickname was too short to be used as a user name, so since I got the nickname from putting salt in my oatmeal, I decided SaltCereal sounded okay.

As for what I believe, I don't know if I would say that there's a conscious being that created the universe but more of a non-conscious energy out there in the universe, beyond what humans can really comprehend. And as far as an afterlife, I believe that any loving deity would judge our eternal fate with something more substantial than whether or not we worship him. I mean, think about it: If Hitler repented in the last seconds of his life, he's saved while millions of good people who had a moment of weakness and doubt before they died are burning in hell. And that's justice? That's fair? That's compassion? I think not!

You have seen what the "true christians" have to say, how the nature of your being and that of the person you love frighten them. How they use a collection of fairy tales to justify themselves. They have made their own sexual insecurities evident, the flames of their insecurities fanned by your confidence in who and what you and your partner are.

Anyway, if I found out a transsexual (or someone who is dating a transsexual) was moving next door, I wouldn't care. Truth be told, we have several good friends who are transsexuals.

But you admit that you use transsexuals for "sex" or whatever you call it when it is with a transsexual. How can you lend their movement any credence when you are a pervert just like they are?

The reason we have morality is not because a big man in the sky tells us we should, but because it keeps our species alive. If we ran around killing each other, we would decrease the variation in the gene pool and remove the protection of being in groups, thus reducing our chances of survival both as a species and as individuals. Our morality is further enforced by the ideas that modern society has engrained in our minds, which is why we do not commit immoral acts such as stoning or murdering people (it still happens occasionally of course). Sometimes faith in God can make people choose moral decisions as well, but when faith is taken too far, it leads to violence and bigotry.

And to anyone who will reply to this by quoting an irrelevant Bible verse, or saying that I am a demon, you are full of shit and need to think up some counterarguments that actually make sense.

Look little boy! The Bible, the Lords word is what brings morality to the world. I suggest you get a copy a the King James Bible and start reading Leviticus.

So there is a non-conscious energy out there, something that cannot love, so there isn't an afterlife either, because only a loving deity would provide such a thing.

If that is what you believe, then how do you decide how to behave during the day? What makes you choose to be rude or polite to your neighbors? What makes you decide whether or not to kill someone you dislike?

I really have a hard time understanding how someone could live a moral live without having any moral guidelines or any consequences for breaking God-given laws.

Here's the part that aught to be a kicker to you: my partner is a trans woman. That means she used to be a boy but now she's a girl. We actually started dating while she was still living as a boy, and we were already pretty emotionally attached when she started transitioning. As of now, she still has her "tallywhacker" only because we have to save money for surgery. I guess, technically, we COULD get married, but she already has all her legal documentation changed to read female and neither one of us wants to have to convince a court that she's male so we can get married. So, we'll just be "domestic partners" until Texas finally comes around and legalizes marriages between two women.

Know what else? I haven't really told you anything significant about our sex life, but what little I have told you about our relationship, you probably consider it highly offensive, don't you? Get over it.
