    Re: A few questions.

I NEVER met one that WORSHIPS Mary (blessed be her Image) or any of the Saints. We do pray to them (I'm fond of St.Miguel the Archangel myself) but that is more for guide and hope then worship. As for Mary, The blessed mother should be held high let us not forget God choose Her Himself.

Luke 11:27-28 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed [is] the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. But he said, Yea rather, blessed [are] they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Seems if you had bothered to read your Bible you would of noticed that Jesus doesn't want us to worship or even bless Mary.

          Re: A few questions.

1, is 1 to many. The real question is why does the Pope hid them. They are sexual predators, homersexurals, pedophiles the need to be stoned and not protected.
I agree with you 100%, and I know not why the Church hides them (perhaps to save face) but the majority of Fathers are kind and humble men of God who would never hurt a child. They crown Mary (Blessed be her image) a the Queen of Heaven, being the mother of Jesus (Hallowed be thy name) I do not see anything wrong with this. It is still not worship.

Seems if you had bothered to read your Bible you would of noticed that Jesus doesn't want us to worship or even bless Mary.

I see only recognition of those who deserve it, Mary (Blessed be Her image) being the biggest one. Saints are what they are, yes I will pray to them St.Pat of Ireland and St.Miguel the Archangel being my two biggest, I do not see this as idoling, I do not hold them to the level of God the Father, the Son, or the Holy Ghost.

Acts 4:10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

You keep on posting the same stuff all over different threads.
Stop throwing your rotten seed around. You are like the seed that fell on infertile ground

            Luke 8
5 A sower went out to sow his seed: and as he sowed, some fell by the way side; and it was trodden down, and the fowls of the air devoured it.
6 And some fell upon a rock; and as soon as it was sprung up, it withered away, because it lacked moisture.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it.
8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Song of Solomon 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

What is with the (blessed be her image) stuff. We get lots of catholics on this board and you are the first one to ever type like this. It reminds me of the mohomid worship of the mooslimbs, so you're not exactly convincing me of this not worshiping bit.

You as a woman of all should hold the Blessed Vergin in high regard.
Totally ignored the scripture, didn't you. Jesus told us specifically not to worship Mary, in fact he told us that his brothers and mother were the people who did his will

Matthew 12:47-50 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee. But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
The catholic church is nothing more than the leftovers of the Roman empire. You know the guys who sacrificed to Jupiter? They just changed the names and called it christianity. In fact Mary is nothing more than Artemis renamed.

So that's it? With this simple sentence you sweep away the very words of Our Lord Jesus Christ without so much as considering their meaning? I know you Catholics have been brainwashed to worship Mary (even if you refuse to acknowledge it as worship) but that is pretty extreme.

As are all flowers, the month of May is dedicated to the Mary, whom we celebrate as Queen of Heaven on the last day of this month. Early in May, a statue of the Virgin at church is crowned with a wreath of roses, and the same are laid at her feet. Little girls and boys dress up in their best, often in blue; one child carries the crown on a cushion to the statue and another child is chosen to crown the statue. The selection process varies -- sometimes a boy is chosen to bear the wreath, but always a girl is chosen to crown the statue (usually the oldest girl). The flowers remain throughout the month. Hymns are sung, too, and especially favored is the Victorian "Bring Flowers of the Rarest," lyrics below

Queen of Heaven? God is the King of Heaven so are you saying God is married to Mary?

                  And a Prayer to Mary

                  Hail Mary, full of grace.
                  Our Lord is with thee.
                  Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
                  Jesus.
                  Holy Mary, Mother of God,
                  pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
                  Amen.

                  Sounds like worship to me!

                    Re: A few questions.

I was thought in the old school RC church, while not old myself this is just the way it is (mostly it was my dad). Every time I say Mary or Jesus I am to say the lines following it and to bless myself, I guess I do not HAVE to do it when I type it, but generally I do. Again I never said worship Mary, just to hold her in the regard and respect she deserves. As for sounding like a Muslim I would not know, never have been around one. All I want here is to learn and to perhaps teach, I am humble and peaceful but I am met with great contempt. I am not saying anyone is right or wrong that is not my NOR anyones place to say (despite what you may think) only God may do that. I just wanted to try and meet pious people like myself and to have great disscussions with them.

Peace be with you (I did not know wishing peace apon people was a "Muslim" thing)

I think they do, it says right in the Bible we have the right to judge others.

I pointed that out to show the contradictions of your beliefs. Are you now saying you disagree with the Pope's words? Have you decided to become a heretical Catholic?

I think I understand why them Catliks worship Mary. The main church( if you want to call it that) is in Rome. Now stay with me on this. It was the Romans who beat poor Jesus half to death ( after the Joos turned Him in). It was the Romans who sentenced Him to be Crucified. It was the Romans who made poor Jesus drag that cross all over the city. It was the Romans who nailed Sweet Jesus to the cross, in fact it was a Roman who stabbed Jesus in the side with a spear after the had erected him. So after Sweet Jesus died( temporally) they figured that they made a very bad mistake and now they are trying to suck up to His mother. They start a church and worship the mother of Jesus. I hope they enjoy HELL.
