You should invite him over for a plate of spaghetti to tell him.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Song of Solomon 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

      Re: A few questions.

Latin is the language of lawyers! Isn't that enough to cause concern?

And, yes, it is true that the Catholic Church doesn't exactly go about things the same way that it did in centuries past. However, God hasn't changed a bit since Jesus came down and then went back up. For that matter, God hasn't changed a jot since the beginning of time--when He created it.

Not a hair turned grey, not an extra pound put on, not a wrinkle around the eyes-- God never changes. He certainly does not get "better" since He is perfect to start. So why should a church change? If it starts out right with God, unless it goes downhill by deviating from His word, it can't possibly become "new and improved" with the passing centuries if it is doing things how God wanted them to be done in the first place.

Whatever practices that the Catholic Church engaged in in the past, it justified by declaring that it was God's will, given directly to "His" church. Whatever, 30, 60 or 180 degree turns it makes since then, on any subject, it claims once again that God wants it that way.

Not only does God never change, but the Catholic Church never changes. It keeps lying about God from one era to the next.
