    Begging your pardon...

    I'd like to introduce myself. I'm a very shy young women seeking the love and guidance only Jesus can give me. I was raised by nuns in the local UCC, United Church of Christ and given the opportunity to sing like an angle. I'm a choir major with exceptional pipes. On my 21 birthday my biological father found me, a joyous day! He followed the teachings of the nuns and kept me pure of heart and soul... a snow white virgin. Since his passing I am lost... that's what brought me to your loving doorstep... I seek Jesus in my life.

    My most favorite passage in the whole wide world is Psalms 86: 4 Yea, thought I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

    Thank you LBC community for considering me

      Hello Sister,

      Your first step toward salvation and away from that wickedness is here. Conference with our Reverend Jim and pray that depravity away!

      In Christ!

        Welcome Choir Girl:

        You appear are a little confused probably, as a result of your exposure to the inferior / false Churches you mentioned. And it is obvious that those "Nuns" you mention were actually prostitutes.
        However at also appears that you have the will, demeanor and the attributes to become a fine True Christian(tm) lady.

        As Brother Rubicon correctly pointed out seek the counsel of the good Pastors here like Reverend Jim Osborne and they will have you on the path to the right hand of Jesus literally overnight.

        I am told that most young ladies are never the same after a sermon with Rev Jim.

        Welcome and Praise Jesus
        2 Samuel 22:31

        As for God, His way is perfect;
        The word of the LORD is proven;
        He is a shield to all who trust in Him.

          The UCoC supports all sorts of perversions like queer marriage and ordaining women as pastors. I wasn't aware they had nuns like the papists too.
          Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

            The United "Church" of "Christ" has nuns? I know they have "deaconesses" but nuns? And the nuns kept you PURE? As an ex-nun myself - a PAPIST nun - I can assure you that a PURE nun is a rare thing, and most of those letsbemens would jump on you like a Democrat on a tax hike.

            No no no no... something's not quite ringing true in this tale. Something is most certainly off...

              She's obviously confused. With a Joo father and a Greek prostitute mother, who could blame her?

              Let's get her to Christ! That's what counts!

                Nuns? Yes. I was raised not to question authority. Nor to question my great uncle Samual's bequeathment of $5000 in tithe to the LBC upon his death... it's another reason I stand before you asking for your acceptance.

                I have taken the advise of brother Rubicon and read Rev. Jim's "ladies of the Lord" free bible study for your women. Since I am within the proper age, and they are free, I belive signing up is the right thing to do. Uncle Samual would approve.

                    So, your great uncle left a mere $5k to our Church? Was that a down-payment? I assume the rest will follow shortly?
                    That is a very unusual way to spell Samuel. Was he a furriner?

                        Well she will be wasting her money then! Tithing is important (Deut 14:22-29), but being a good Christian™ by following every word of the Bible is also part of the deal.

                        I like her unquestioning compliance to authority, it shows strong moral character.

                        A woman came up to me the other day, 12/6/2016 and said:
                        "But Mr. Winner, if GOD loves everyone then why is there so much suffering in the world?"

                        Because GOD doesn't love everyone. Too many people have this absurd idea in their heads that GOD is all loving.
                        If he was all loving, then murderers, thieves and homosexuals would be waiting for you in Heaven.

                        GOD doesn't open his gate to just anyone. Being a True Christian™ is like a Queue Jump ticket at Disney, we are guaranteed a ride with JESUS.

                          You leave me a bit confused...one would think that you should know exactly where to find your 'most favorite passage in the whole wide world' in the Holy KJV Bible.

                          Which one is it? Psalms 86:4 or the scripture you quoted, which is actually Psalms 23:4?

                          Something seems fishy here.

                            Sister,

                            There IS love here. But we don't share the addiction to crack cocaine, so forgive us if it's hard to comprehend your gibberish.

                            I wouldn't normally suggest such a graphic thread for a woman, but I want you to understand how low some of us were before we found Christ. Just clutch your bible to your bosom and read how Jesus saves!
