Hello everyone,

I am so very very lucky to have found this forum of true believers. In Belgium, the evil swamp that I come from, people express their love for their Catholic pope by mumbling. I am unsure whether Jesus is present in our churches - sometimes I think I can feel a ray of hope - but usually it is just a bit of stained-glass filtered sunlight reflected on the cold concrete walls.

True believers sing and dance, get possessed by the Holy Spirit and start speaking in tongues, while handling all kinds of unholy vermin, like rattlesnakes or demon-possessed souls.

The thing the Catholics in my country worship, seems to be a sleeping old grey-bearded paedophile, that likes to dress in purple robes.

May the Lord have mercy on my soul, and may the presence of the abundant, joyous light that emanates from this forum lighten my path and bring me solace while I fight the deadly slumber that rises out of the swamp that is called Belgium.

I truly would hope so - but that gives rise to such abundant joy, that I thought the things I mentioned (and saw in a documentary about the United States) were expressions of that. Sorry I was mistaken.

@James Dewitt: Unfortunately, it is very rare in Europe to find a true Christian wife. Therefore, I am sworn to celibacy - please note that this by no means makes me a catholic.

I was touched by Jesus multiple times today. First, when I thanked him for the beautiful day, when I thanked him for my breakfast, when I discovered this forum and thanked Jesus for that. I especially like thanking Jesus, for all the nice things, but also for my trials and suffering.

Ofcourse, In my country there are no real churches. The only churches that do exist are catholic churches, where priests twist the word of the Lord, and mumble as an expression of their "joy".

Another Belgian waffler; we seem to be inundated by them lately.

I don't know how you can be a Christian in a country where every church is a museum for "saints" not hospitals for sinners, and where only 26% of the population have any church affiliation at all.

I have been to your chocolate and beer-swilling country and couldn't help but note that save for tourists the churches were empty and silent. If someone were to speak in tongues the national security forces would be called out. Every block had gay lace shops, what is up with that?

I would suggest that you steer clear of this cult of jibber-jabbering false Christians and seek an independent Baptist congregation before you find yourself hurtling toward the fiery pits of hell.
