    Hello

    Hello.

I'm new here and I joined primarily to learn more about the Baptist Church. I was raised as a Christian but my mother stopped taking me to church when I was very young. As I grew older, I felt something was missing but, still being young I was and am, unsure of what it is. A friend of mine suggested that I seek to strengthen my relationship with God but I was unsure what path to take so I begin to look for people that could help. Unfortunately, my home town is Catholic and I find myself disagreeing with a lot of their principles.

I'm mainly seeking some help and guidance with the path to take and will appreciate any assistance.

    Re: Hello

Hi Sara, welcome to Gods Favorite Forum(c). You seem like a very nice young lady though I am sorry to hear your mother is a god mocker.

I hope you have a KJV Bible and read it cover to cover veryweek at least once. Further, I assume you follow the rules as clearly laid out in the Good Book(r).

Having God deep within you, filling you with His Heavenly love is a beautiful thing.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

      Re: Hello

I only recently broached the subject of religion, as my mother is a lax Catholic and my father an atheist, I was unaware of the significance God had in my life. I have since begun to understand, sadly that was only at the beginning of this week and will be spending tomorrow trying to find a copy of the Bible which has not been censored.

A week is an eternity for a lost soul. Go here for the 1611 KJV Bible Online

Be sure to use the KJV Bible as the other are chock full of inaccuracies, half truths and some are missing entire section (can you believe that!)

Welcome. It must be lonely to be surrounded by the living dead. Every Catholic is going to hell. Stay away from them. And your mother.

You can be God's little beacon of light in an otherwise damned place. He must have a purpose for you. You can learn a lot here. Pray for guidance, read the KJV 1611 Bible, and avoid so-called holy water like a vampire.
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

            Re: Hello

Thank you so much for the link. I think it's a shame that people are free to mess with God's word without recrimination.

I'm trying to help my mother see the light, after all, she is willing to listen and does read the Bible. I must make sure she is not reading one of the inaccurate versions the next time I see her. I'm afraid I cannot stay away from her as I am living with her at the moment whilst I finish my studies.

Thank you all for your help and kindness.

                Re: Hello

I recently turned 18 years old. As for sins, I have been trying to repent but found it difficult as I was unsure of my beliefs at the time. I'm afraid that my mother and I don't get along most of the time and I worry that I may have disrespected her in the past. I'm glad to say that my relationship with my father has always been one of respect and love and hope to make amends with my mother. I have tried to live my life the best I could but will be re-evaluating things soon, to ensure that I properly repent for any sins I may have committed.

                  Re: Hello

I would not waste any time on your mother, it is obvious she hates God and wants to turn your away from he penetrating love. Mind your father, he is the head of the house. Do what the says without question, always.

Now, go read the Bible. Save yourself!

No, no. We need specifics. Describe the sin. Did you steal a friend's Barbie doll? Talked before being told to? Have you touched yourself inappropriately? Awkward moments with boys?

Yes, sin is sin, but the extent of your transgressions will determine what it will take to keep you sin free and serving Jesus.

I'm going to recommend that you enroll in Reverend Jim Osborne's program that is designed specifically for confused young ladies like you.

                    In Christ.
