I see they don't teach American history in the UK. Actually if you must know, during the colonial era there was very little immigration from France. The largest minority by FAR were Germans. Unless you consider the Scots to be of a different nationality. If so, they were second, Germans third.

I guess since spelling and grammar isn't required in UK schools, I have to assume rigorous study of American history is not required either. Pity.
