Save me from science

Hello, I'm new to these forums, and to the notion of God. I am an engineer, and have had the principles of science ingrained in me for some time. I want to be saved, but I am having trouble divorcing my grasp of "science" from my world view, and placing my faith and belief in God.

I too am new to religion and come from a similar background. I sympathise with your plight but hopefully I can help.

When I decided that I needed a change I simply asked myself and god to make that happen. Its not as miraculous as modern media would have you believe, I found the experience similar to jumping from an unknown ledge. That is where faith came into the equation. I have faith that my heavenly father has nothing but the best intentions for me, whether they are apparent or otherwise. I am reading the bible when I can, admittedly, its slow going. and im taking my time. There are still moderately sinful things I do (i think) that I am slowly learning to phase out.

Its not easy, but through hard work we prevail. That work shall set you free my friend!

We love science! There is no conflict; when science disagrees with God's Word, science is wrong.

...if the science contradicts the bible, than the Bible's wrong. Plain and simple. It's one thing to say the Bible implies spiritual meaning in its words, but it's a whole new level of crazy to take the things it says literally.

I believe in modern physics(gravity, quantum mechanics, etc.), that races are all equal, that the Earth is several billion years old, and that the theory of evolution has a large amount of evidence supporting its credibility.

Your first words betray you: "I believe"... If you were a scientist you would test theories, you would kill a cat in a box and then revive it and claim to have proven quantum mechanics, but just like all science believers you are all talk and no action. There is no such thing as scientists, you are religious but instead of acknowledging God you put your trust in fallible humans.

Science, like gravity has been proven wrong time and time again. Newton has been proven wrong, Einstein has been proven wrong, and even the dark matter believers are likely wrong.

Even your belief that all races are equal is demonstrably idiocy. Do you honestly claim blacks have the same skin color as whites? Do you actually think chinks aren't slant-eyed? Do you reject the notion that because the United States is the whitest nation on earth it is the most intelligent and successful nation?

You make a gullible point although I'd like to point out that research is actually done, in the recent years scientists have discovered new elements such as Ununbuntium which I think was highly unstable like the rest of the un-named atoms which often have a number 100 and above. Quantum mechanics have been proven by the way our technology has developed over the past years. You can clearly see that the way TV works, the way we calculate how we travel to the moon, everything that has something to do with technology - advanced calculations and theories have been pulled in to make it succesful, the people executing/designing these technological objects do not try to make one after another to find the correct one, they use science, real science.

Please, provide evidence, I've done some research and it didn't show any articles written by highly educated scientists. Why do you think light bends around black holes? Why are black holes black? It has everything to do with gravity. If there was no gravity then out galaxy would fall apart and out solar system too. Newton and Einstein proven wrong? Do you even know one of their theories without looking it up? Einstein's most famous theory of E=MC^2 has been proven to be correct by studying the sun and by the particle accellerator of CERN, they converted neutrons to protons which are slightly lighter, making the overall mass lighter and which in terms released the energy exactly as Einstein's formula tells us.

About Isaac Newton, his theory of F=MA has been proven to be correct by the people designing rockets and airplanes and people who usually work with physics. "Force" equals Matter(mass in Kg) multiplied by accelleration which is measured in m/s^2. The unit for force is called Newton.

Dark matter is still a conjecture.

I think Ireland happens to be the whitest nation on earth with a percentage of approximately 99. On the subject of race I happen to be slightly on your side, although not because god loves white people but because I think white people on average are smarter and better developed to create and succesfully develop a well oiled society. I would like to say that the US is certainly not the most succesful nation as it is being torn down by the ever increasing muslims, negroes and mestizos which are all scum of the Earth in my honest opinion. Jews too (Yes, they are an ethnic group too).

Scientists can not evolve things, nature does so that the creature adapts to their seroundings which often become more dangerous, sometimes they have to become resistant against something. Also, dust is not made up of living matter, maybe organic matter such as Carbon but if you fill an arena full of dust and hermetically seal it then after millions of years there would be no change except maybe in density caused by gravity.
