Nobody in America is THAT poor unless as a result of their own acts (drugs, AIDS, etc.). The best way to help the poor is to bring them to Jesus. James 2:5. The Bible commands us to help the poor in spirit to come to faith.

Give away your money to the lazy and the weak if you want to; I'll not stop you. But if your're not preaching the word of Jesus when you do so, you are missing the major point. Focus on giving them a rich afterlife. Otherwise you are wasting your time and your money.

Not all people are homeless because of drugs, aids etc, I wish that it was only so, that would be nice, but there are some that did not deserve it, I would not want to be in their shoes, I think about this a lot, because I grew up in America, and watched as it fell to it's knees, here is a site that I found about this topic : http://www.archure.net/psychology/homeless.html

Why is it OK to give your money to the disabled, whom God is clearly punishing -- for He has the ability to remove their disability in an instant -- but not to the lazy, who are not being punished by God?

Rev Rodimer I would not help the lazy because laziness is a choice that people make all by themselves, more than likely because of bad parenting, so let the crappy parents pay for the lazy kid/person, as for the disabled, it could be a punishment for sins, but some are born disabled, so I don't see how it could be a punishment for those, but also, being that I lived all my life in America and worked as a cabinet maker, I also know that America is built more or less to accomodate the disabled, ie- wider doors esspecially for restrooms, and toilet access, ramps for entering buildings, need I say more, do you feel that we should tear down all these accomodations and let them piss in their wheelchairs, eat outside the resturants, kick their crutches out from under them, and let them lay on the ground in society, ban all medications for MS, and all drugs that help people, so let's just say that cancer is punishment also, which is what I think and have for many years, so, let's stop all the cancer reserch, screw them all, let them die the horrible death they deserve, and what about cold and flu medicine that help us get over that much faster than chicken soup so that we can get back to our jobs faster, you see Rev Rodimer, it don't matter why they have been struck down, America and Europe have adapted to what they can to help the sick, and disabled, there's only one thing that I feel we should not pay for and /or help with, and that is Aids and all other self inflicted things, I think you see my point.
