I can teach you everything you need to know in a few short sentences. Supernatural ideas evolved from a need to explain the unexplained. These ideas benefited small secluded groups in many ways. It removed the finality of death, governed the unwatched, empowered authority figures and in general gave a sense of security to most. But come on, this is all common sense. Your not here to learn. From your smart arse tone you are just here to make atheists look bad. You are probably not even a real atheist. You sound like an intolerant know-it-all. You are probably a Christian posing as an atheist and talking like a sarcastic teenager just to make true atheists look bad!

As a matter of fact, Mr. James, I know about christianity but I want to learn as much as I can about it. Religious mythology is fascinating, and I must admit Christian mythology is particularly interesting.

    See you all around.

If you want to learn about Christian mythology there are hundreds of churches where you can hear about how Jesus loves everybody, and how God just wants us all to get along.

You can hear the stories about the apple and the three wise men and how Jesus encouraged people to sleep around with anybody they wanted to, just as long as they were nice about it and didn't begrudge anybody else doing the same thing.

Those are your myths, right there.

That would be absurd. I know for a fact that God exists.

No True Christian(tm) would be willing to consider such an idiotic thing, missy.

    Revelation 3:15-16
I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

You either believe or you don't. If you do you go to Heaven if you don't you go to Hell.

Look missy, you do not answer a question with a question.
I do not know how you finger plucking hollandaise dykes do it, but in America, we respect those that have earned respect, like Pastor Reuben.

    "Religious mythology"???
    "Christian mythology "???

Look bucko, Being a Baptist is not about mythology, it is about living and celebrating the life God gave us in accordance with His Plan as described in the KJV.
There are no 'myths' or 'hocus pocus', just real live facts. You need to actually read the Bible before you make such absurd comments!

You have already decided that you won't convert before we've had a chance to state our case. You aren't even willing to consider that you might be wrong and that we might be right, yet Atheists think we're the ones who are closed-minded.

If you are sincere about learning, you will do two things: First, read the KJV cover to cover, and repeat doing so for the rest of your life. Second, humbly get on your knees, open your heart to God, beseech Him to forgive your sins, and invite the Lord Jesus Christ into your heart. All the "learning" you need to have will spring from that moment. Fail to do so, and you might as well read pig-Latin.

    I will pray for you.

As a matter of fact, sir, I have a brilliant future. Religion isn't the only way to a future, but you're so small-minded , I mean open-minded, you probably wouldn't understand how.

I have the right to express my opinions, American Christians won't suppress my opinions, what the hell happened to freedom of expression? America is already screwed up as it is. The last thing they need is more pro-suppression beings around.

The KJV is one of the MANY version of the bible available out there. What makes you think you're right and every other religion is wrong? I'd like to know, really.

    Have a great day.

Let me see if I understand you.

You claim to know nothing about Christianity but proclaim yourself to be an atheist? How is that possible?
You have to know all about your choices before you can choose. Otherwise you come off as a complete putz and an idiot.

I know, you are in community college and are take Philosophy 101.

What precisely did you want to learn? Did you know that Jesus Christ is 100% real and He condemns unrepentant atheists to Hell for ever and ever? And that is a True Christian Fact, friend.
