My name is Barry. I am a college student studying economics. I came here because I need a place to go sometimes and be unbothered by the foul-mouthed atheists whom plague this great nation; and also to expand my knowledge of what it takes to be a truly good Christian.

I have always been interested in the theory of economics. I wish to apply the knowledge I gather from my degree to help people lead responsible lives. There are too many liberals out there taking advantage of hard working Americans. I feel it's just a shame how Americans elected such an abomination known as "Barack Obama" to lead us.
I am also unmarried. Despite being a conservative, compassionate yet decisive young man I have yet to have even date a woman. Women these days would rather be with the "stud" than a responsible young man who could help them lead healthy lives as an obedient yet well-loved housewife.

Re: Hello!
Preaching what you learn in theology class is only one of many ways to help people lead responsible lives. If someone knows how the economic system works, you can help them from becoming insolvent and leech welfare money. I sincerely hope to work alongside the experts of God's way in keeping working men honest with their balance sheet. Like they say, it takes a village to raise a child.Originally posted by Cranky Old Man View PostWelcome to our friendly forum!

Re: Hello!
Trust me, I am far from Jewish. It's not that I want to help people save themselves through money, but to keep money (or the lack thereof) from turning them into welfare god-hating leeches. I have studied theology before, this is merely an add-on to my knowledge of the Bible and how to be a good Christian. Atop from studying theology, all my gradeschool and high school education was done at Christian institutions where learning Jesus' ways was mandatory.Originally posted by James Hutchins View PostI am confused why you do not try to Save© people through Jesus. Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

This is precisely why I have combined the knowledge of good monetary practices and the knowledge of what is right in God's eyes; to keep people like you on the target of avoiding both extremes in life. God loves neither welfare suckers nor hoarders.Originally posted by Samuel Coleridge View PostIt seems that you would have learned Matthew 19:23-24 in your studies.

As you can see, God himself wants us to spread the wealth in service to the poor.
Leviticus 19:9-10 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not wholly reap the corners of thy field, neither shalt thou gather the gleanings of thy harvest.

God loves neither welfare suckers nor hoarders.O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

- How the King James Bible Saved me from anal sex!
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Socialism and communism is the wrong way to help those less fortunate. Maybe you don't know anything about what I'm going to tell you in this post, but that's only expected of uneducated fiscal liberals such as yourself.Originally posted by Samuel Coleridge View PostI would love to read the chapter and verse where you get your information from.

1) Even during the Great Depression, our national household income still bought more food, goods, services, and entertainment than the other top 5 developed nations COMBINED. A capitalist society spurs productivity more than you can believe.
2) Putting people on welfare only makes things more expensive for others. Our health care system is in disrepair because of medicare and medicaid. Those programs dont even pay the hospitals and doctors HALF of what the procedures cost, making those who actually have full insurance foot their bills. Insurance costs and healthcare is so expensive to PAYING customers because the government hoses healthcare industries.
3) People in a capitalist society are happier as a whole. There's nothing like being able to control your own destiny and having that good fuzzy feeling inside knowing you've accomplished something on your own.
You guys see where I'm going with this economics degree thing?

Who is "our"? The Vanderslootens in New York city? I do believe that. Depressions are caused when too much wealth is concentrated among the top few people. It's no coincidence that the disparity in income in the USA is at its highest level since 1928.Originally posted by BarryFlorta View Post1) Even during the Great Depression, our national household income still bought more food, goods, services, and entertainment than the other top 5 developed nations COMBINED. As for your assertion that the average person could buy more goods and services, I would say prove it.
Then give them jobs and quit shipping them overseas. The people want to work for a living wage.Originally posted by BarryFlorta View Post2) Putting people on welfare only makes things more expensive for others.
Our health care system is broken because 15% of our GDP is going toward it. The insurance companies are taking 25 cents on the dollar what it costs European governments 8 cents on the dollar to do.Originally posted by BarryFlorta View PostOur health care system is in disrepair because of medicare and medicaid.
The cozy relationship between our government and the AMA also keeps the numbers of doctors purposely low.
I suppose that is why the U.S. is repeatedly on the bottom of the standard of living lists for industrialized countries and the northern European socialist countries consistently come out on top.Originally posted by BarryFlorta View Post3) People in a capitalist society are happier as a whole.

The United States as a whole. Quit drinking the liberal kool-aid that says the middle class is disappearing.
As for your assertion that the average person could buy more goods and services, I would say prove it.
I don't need to "prove" it. It's a known fact.
Then give them jobs and quit shipping them overseas. The people want to work for a living wage.
And create more government jobs? I think not. How about making it cost less for business to hire people? Look at ObamaCare, that bill does nothing but raise employment costs.
Our health care system is broken because 15% of our GDP is going toward it. The insurance companies are taking 25 cents on the dollar what it costs European governments 8 cents on the dollar to do.
What does GDP percentage have to do with it? Health care is always going to be a major contributor to GDP, it's an extensively used service.
The cozy relationship between our government and the AMA also keeps the numbers of doctors purposely low.
The AMA is not keeping the number of doctors low. I don't know what kind of conspiracy theorist kool-aid you've been drinking lately, but the number of doctors has gone down purely from the massive costs involved. It costs at least $300,000 to become an M.D. these days. Despite being paid very well, doctors don't start to see much of a cash flow until their 40s just from all the loan repayment burdens.
I suppose that is why the U.S. is repeatedly on the bottom of the standard of living lists for industrialized countries and the northern European socialist countries consistently come out on top.
How could anyone possibly say that the US doesn't enjoy the best standard of living? Have you ever been to a country besides the US?
Indeed I do. You want to finish ruining our country.
If keeping people fiscally responsible is bad practice, then may the Lord strike me down right where i stand.
