I'm Maryam. I was born and raised in a Catholic family. I became a Baptist during my freshman year of high school, but I converted to Islam last year and I've been a devout muslim ever since.
I work as a small-time fashion designer for modest, muslim clothing for women. (I say small-time because I design muslim clothing, as opposed to Hollywood's "slutty" fashions that are popular today).
I'm pleased to meet all of you.

Are you having second thoughts about Islam? You might want to have second thought about those second thoughts, since you would now fall under the laws of apostasy. Unlike the watered down, namby-pamby "non-judgmental" so-called Christian society many of us live under, Muslims face no real barriers to practicing their religious law.

There is clear support in the Quran, the Hadith, and among many leading Muslim scholars that the appropriate penalty for apostasy is death. Perhaps, if you time things correctly, you can become a True Christian™ before being put to death. I'm not sure if they'll stone you or hang you... but I'm sure you can suck it up, with your eyes focused on Glory!

Unlike the watered down, namby-pamby "non-judgmental" so-called Christian society many of us live under, Muslims face no real barriers to practicing their religious law.

There is clear support in the Quran, the Hadith, and among many leading Muslim scholars that the appropriate penalty for apostasy is death. Perhaps, if you time things correctly, you can become a True Christian™ before being put to death. I'm not sure if they'll stone you or hang you... but I'm sure you can suck it up, with your eyes focused on Glory!

Of course, when we've established a proper True Christian™ theocracy where we can practice our religious law, she would be sentenced to death for apostasy.

My advice? Turn away from the moon-worshipers and convert to True Christianity™. You may be killed by the mooslims but at least your soul will be saved. Praise Jesus!

What is there to "design" about a small tent with a hole in the top and two sleeves?

I suppose you used to "design" ghost costumes as a kid by draping a sheet over your head and cutting out two holes to see out of.

If you believe in allah but don't agree with sharia law and thereby his word then you must be a false muslim. Do you disagree with this?

I can understand your confusion about the subject of muslim dress, but there's actually a lot more to the clothing besides the full veil.

Head scarves:


While the purpose of the head scarf remains the same (to cover the hair), there are a variety of different fabrics and patterns that can be used, as well as different ways to wrap the head scarf.

Khimar:


The khimar is more of a "full-length" head covering. Most modern muslim women don't normally wear a khimar and normally stick to wearing a normal head scarf (especially in America). Those who do wear one usually do so to pray.

Abaya:


The abaya is defined as a floor-length, long-sleeved, black robe. While there are limits to the shape and overall color of the abaya, it can be decorated with various patterned trimming.

Niqab/burqah:


The niqab (or burqah) is most likely what you were referring to in your post. This is not worn by all muslim women, since it's more commonly worn in Arab countries.

And then, of course, there are various tunics, caftans, and skirts available for modest muslim women. (The pictures aren't showing up)

Actually, I do agree with shar'ia law, but others on here were concerned about me being put to death because they thought I was having second thoughts about Islam and they assumed that I live in a Middle Eastern country.
I was simply pointing out that, 1) I'm not having second thoughts about Islam, and 2) I don't live in an Arab country, I live in the USA, where I was born and raised.
