    Punishment fit for a wife

Please help as I do not know what to do. How do I punish my wife? I found her sitting on a washing machine.

Re: Punishment fit for a wife

What is wrong with sitting on a washing machine. I do it when there are lot of clothes to wash or it is moving about.
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth
Proverbs 19:25 Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.
Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.
Proverbs 6:25 Lust not after her beauty in thine heart; neither let her take thee with her eyelids.
Genesis 24:16 And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her: and she went down to the well, and filled her pitcher, and came up.
Song of Solomon 1:15 Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes.

I don't get it. Why would her sitting on the washing machine be a bad thing? As long as she is doing the laundry I don't see the problem of where she sits.
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Wait, so "sitting on a washing machine" is some sort of euphemism? That's weird, and if it is, why did you post a picture of a washing machine?

Re: Punishment fit for a wife

If your wife is on her unclean time, then she should not be in the house anyways. This is why we have menstrual huts for our women.

            Leviticus 15:19-20
And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.

If, however, she is spreading her uncleanness in the house, she should be reprimanded. God makes it clear that children should be scourged with a rod (Proverbs 22:15, Proverbs 23:13), but I'm pretty sure it's okay to use a belt or open hand on your wife.
            II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. I think the problem is with you. Do you always have lustful thoughts when a woman sits down?

James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

No, she was enjoying herself on my washing machine. To make matters worse, she stayed there for the spin cycle.

Do you think I should punish her with divorce? Misuse of a washing machine is a relationship outside marriage.

                Matthew 5:32
"whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery."

Did she steal your washing machine? Was she using it without your permisson?

Why would a man have a washing machine, anyway? It's used for women's work.

Well of course she should have been enjoying herself, she was doing laundry. Personally, I prefer vacuuming, but to each their own.

What do you mean she misused the washing machine? Did she put too much or not enough detergent in the load? Did she put your whites in with something red? She probably deserves some stern punishment, but don't you think divorce is a little too severe?

Also, I really don't understand what Matthew 5:32 has to do with anything.

I did not give her permission to sit on it. I have a washing machine so my wife can wash clothes. How else could she get one: she doesn't have money?

So you are upset that she sat on it instead of a chair while she was washing your apron?

By the way, why are you joining a Christian church forum, when you Freemasons preach salvation without Jesus?

I have now (Jack Chick on Freemasonry).

The biggest problem with Jack Chick is he combines bizzare presentation with sound Christian theology. As he says, Christianity is not pantheism. The Christian God is exclusive: all the others are either wrong, evil or a combination of the two.

Thank you for drawing my attention to that.
