    Greetings from an Irish Agnostic

I enjoy a good slabbering match, so when I found this website, I felt like I'd struck gold. You're obviously not as messed up as your Westboro Baptist friends, but unfortunately they don't seem to have a forum. I have to say I am rather impressed with the website, not many churches would have bothered to spend so much effort to spread their religion.

I think the main problem with the "True Christians" here are that you were probably home schooled in a very dogmatic way, blurring your reality so you can't see past the bible in front of you and use some reasoning.

I would consider it a great achievement if I were to turn some people here away from this church, NOT christianity altogether of course, but seriously, believing the earth is flat, come on, seriously?? And the "experiments" to test your flat earth beliefs were pretty laughable. I really did have a good giggle at them.

Enjoy telling me how I'm going to hell and how I'm somehow worshipping Satan...go on...I know how much you love it.

Why would we need to look past the Bible?

But, anyways, welcome friend to God's Favorite Forum(tm). No doubt that Jesus brought you to this place on purpose. Just yesterday we had a gentleman here who was a confirmed atheist. Because of our prayers and unassailable logic showing him that Jesus Christ died for our sins, he has repented and accepted the Lord as his savior. Perhaps the same future awaits you?

I think the world is a wonderful place with many experiences and pleasures (not talking about gay sex or anything). I believe you can live according to the bible and still use your free mind which your god has given you. God didn't necessarily put every fact in the bible, it doesn't talk about pupil dilation yet eyes can do just that to adapt to light fluctuations.

Apart from that thank you for the welcome, and I doubt I'll be a Christian soon though.

        Luke 11:34

The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.

Pretty sure that covers whatever pupil light science junk you were talking about.

        Proverbs 20:12

The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, The Lord hath made even both of them.

God made our eyes so they work! Unless of course he didn't want you to.. then well then you should probably start praying to God so he can cure you.

Just so you know there is a 0% chance you could convert any of us with your faulty logic. There is also a 0% chance at this moment that you are going to Heaven! Praise the Lord!

Welcome and I hope you find the Lord, Janine Walker

P.S. if you felt like you struck gold wouldn't that be a very clear indicator that God is talking to you to surrender yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ?

No, that has nothing to do with it I'm afraid. Also I wouldn't say 0% for everyone, maybe you but not everyone.

The striking gold feeling came because I was laughing my ass off for a large portion of the day at some of the things posted here.

Why would you do such a thing? If you disagree just go. You don't have to be here.

I'm sorry you find the Bible to be so funny. We take it with the utmost of seriousness here.

Ecclesiastes 2:2 I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What doeth it?
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

I don't find the bible funny as it was written so long ago it's understandable that some rather outdated beliefs to be included. However in this modern age, believing that the earth is flat is laughable.

If you could somehow prove (where hundreds of your kind have tried and failed miserably) that the Earth is a sphere, you are invited to show your evidence on the flat earth threads.

Why is it any funnier than say, virgin births, the dead rising or a man living in the belly of a fish?

                          Son, God does not change.

Malachi 3:6 For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Well it's a fact (due to live feeds on the news and what not) that it is night at parts of the earth and midday at others. If so, how is this possible if the earth is flat and only exposed to one Sun. Also, why have we not reached the edge of the earth in our thousands of years of exploring?
