Simple, because those incidents were supposedly miracles of God that are aren't testable as they supposedly happened a few thousand years ago. With the flat earth situation, well that is testable, and not only blind faith but actual blindness would have to stop you from thinking our planet is a sphere. Blind or mentally challenged.

You did not read the threads to which Brother Levi referred. If you had, then you would have discovered in depth scientific discussions replete with formulas, pictures and diagrams all of which had quotes from the 1611 King James Bible to back them up.

• First, you mock God by calling His Miracles mere incidents.
• Then you cry foul because miracles aren't testable. Do you even understand what a miracle is? Do you think you it's safe to test God, the Ultimate Smiter?
• Next you laugh it all off as millennia-old rantings as if people weren't observant, intelligent and coherent back then.

I think the main problem with the "True Christians" here are that you were probably home schooled in a very dogmatic way, blurring your reality so you can't see past the bible in front of you and use some reasoning.

I don't know that there is a single True Christian(tm) adult on this forum who does not have at least a Bachelor of Arts degree. Sorry to burst your bubble, but many very well-educated men and women are Christian.

I think the world is a wonderful place with many experiences and pleasures (not talking about gay sex or anything). I believe you can live according to the bible and still use your free mind which your god has given you. God didn't necessarily put every fact in the bible, it doesn't talk about pupil dilation yet eyes can do just that to adapt to light fluctuations.
