    Re: What does God hate?

I'm downloading an Audio version of the King James 1611 Bible, and I'm going to transfer it to my phone so I can have God with me wherever I go. This is the closest I could get to a real King James 1611, as we don't have any bookshops around here.

Congratulations on the first step. Now all you have to do is read and follow God's directions.

I certainly will, James. And, as stated in my introduction post, my "church" is a close friend and his family, and some of the town. Should I start using this forum and other such forums as my church? Again, stated in the introduction post, there are no churches within 20 miles of my town.

First of all, I never said you'd be damned just because you were born in another nation.

Second, I'm so pleased you have decided to listen to the word of God, literally. However I must warn you that you will inevitably find that you cannot pick-and-choose your God (as you mentioned in a previous post) whilst listening to the Word.

Good luck in your ventures and God bless! I will pray your attempts at becoming a Christian come to fruition: True Christianity™

          Yours in Christ,
          -Dillon Marigold

Dillon, I don't want to "Pick and Choose" my God. I was just wondering, would I gain more knowledge on Christ and the Word of the Lord if I strayed away from this independant study and used this forum?

You may want to notice that Dillon is Under Investigation, so he's not a member of our group. Take the word of True Christians over him.

I guess the worst thing about independent study is that people quite often start putting their own spin on the Bible. Without anyone there to correct them, they can head into strange waters.

Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much.
42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

That widow gave Jesus all she had. Do you love Jesus as much as she did?

It can't hurt to do both. But I can guarantee you for a fact that we are experts on God's word, I don't know that about the people you're studying with.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Thank you, Brother Temperance. It is no question that I love Jesus as much as she did, but we are barely scraping by. The computer, mobile phones... Memories of bygone days, when my father was earning for us. But after he died, we've had nothing. My mother hasn't remarried, and my father gave all his spare money to a charity. I can't remember what it was for, it might have been for Cancer research. And, in the Austria bit, Kangaroos are Australian, you missed out Arnold Schwarzniger.

The Word™ speaks for itself, but people over time have proven themselves to be incapable of interpreting it correctly, except for Landover Baptist True Christians™. My advice to you would be to read the whole Bible literally, and then compare what you've interpreted against Landover's correct interpretation. If you find discrepancies, then you will of course need the aid of this forum.

My apologies, I missed the last page. That was directed at Joshua's last post on page 2.

Also, BelieveInGod is correct, I am still under investigation. I am attempting to attain True Christianity™ as are you. Please take their word over mine, lest I lead you away from the truth.

Thank you Pastor. The Bible finished downloading last night, and when I get back from school today (I'm in Sixth Form), I'll put it on my phone and listen.
