  • I need Godly advice

Hello church family, I wasn't sure where to post this but seeing that as I am still "unsaved trash" I am only allowed to post here...

I seem to have been stricken with a cold, and I don't want to take any ungodly medicines, so I was just wondering what remedies you would suggest for me.

Thank you all for your time

      Re: I need Godly advice

You need prayer, son. Have you contacted your Pastor?

      James 5:13-15
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
      II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

I suggest reading your King James Authorized Version 1611 Holy Bible.

And pray fervently... on your knees.

Your physical sickness is a representation of your spiritual sickness.

To put it in other terms, your immortal soul is in danger.

          1 Corinthians 11:30

"For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep."

            Thank you
I have been praying all day, and I always read my King James Bible before I go to bed. Hopefully the Lord will grant me the strength to overcome this sickness, I will have to reconsider my daily actions to find out when I am sinning to make my soul weak. I try my best to live a pure Godly life without the temptations of the devil, but sometimes I do make mistakes.

Then I guess you're not Saved(c), are you.

                I guess not

I would like to think I live a Christian lifestyle but I need to re-work my daily routine to be sure I am 100% devoted to Gods will.

                    Re: I need Godly advice

Son, it is most definitely a sin issue in your life. Repent of your perversion, and read the the King James Bible, coupled with at least 3 hours of prayer.

A cold is your spirit trying to tell you to stop your sexual immorality. A buildup of slime in the nasal's indicates a buildup of slime in the heart.

                      Thank you Pastor,
I believe I have discovered my problem, for lunch yesterday I ate at the lunchroom and had the soup, which must have had some form of shellfish in it , I have repented to God and plan to fast for two days.

Leviticus 11:12 Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that [shall be] an abomination unto you.

This is a Christian forum. Jesus freed us from those ceremonial laws long ago, Hymie. Our Lord has specifically abolished those laws:

Acts 10:9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending upon him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
13 And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
15 And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
16 This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

Since sea creatures are not mentioned in that passage, we have no idea whether or not lobsters and shrimps have been cleansed in the blood of Jesus, so we avoid eating them. But God has definitely cleansed all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.

I was shamefully unaware of this passage freeing us to eat shellfish, maybe brother Stroltzfus is right and it is a sexual matter.

Hopefully this will all go away with prayer.
