OK, let me make it even more clear for all of you, it will happen if you travel in a straight line. You don't have to go on a curved path. If you travel in a straight line it will get you back to where you left from.

Brother Bathfire has indeed shown you a straight line in red following a compass point round the earth.....truly there are none so blind as those who will not see.

Of course it all looks flat because you cannot see far enough to notice the curve but if you go high enough you will. Secondly, they say they have never floated off the surface well of course they havent. That is the job of aeroplanes not boats.

Now I ask you this question, I have been told that every word in the bible must be taken literally and that is what you base your flat earth theory on. Well, I ask you this, if everything is to be taken literally and I assume that you consider my a fool then read ecclesiasties 4:5. Why am I not currently eating my flesh? The answer is because it is not literal. I am sure there are many other passages that have a similar metaphorical meaning.

Because sinner as the Lord tell us in Proverbs 14:8 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit.

So because you fail to acknowledge the Lord God as your saviour you cannot even begin to understand or comprehend the full meanings of his teachings....you are deceiving yourself to try.

Well done...you have found one Biblical quote and you think this makes you some sort of scholar?

Does the quote say the fool will feast on his hands and chew them to stumps right away?

No it does not......so the Lord means that you will be eating the flesh of your hands to choke your screams while the Devil anally rapes you during your eternal stay in hell!

Well I can assure you I am not, so if you want to be so ignorant and ask me to prove that I'm not eating my flesh then there is nothign I can do about it. I will just rest assured that I am not eating my flesh. If you use the word abo to mean aboriginal then I must also point out to you that the bible says that all races share equally in the inheritance.

Mitcho, I totally understand your point of view about the common urban legend of the earth being spherical. I was told the same thing since I was a child and once an erroneous concept is driven into your head by demonic, hell bound teachers, it is hard to get back to a Godly truth. I now have a doctorate in earth science (geoscience), and teach at a well known New England university. It is really a shame that every year I get a whole new batch of deluded students that never learned the truth about something so simple as the shape of the earth.
Don't risk your soul on a scientific theory. You may never learn the real truth until you pack up your King James Bible and go for a very long ocean cruise. One startling fact you will discover is no matter where you travel the ocean will ALWAYS be flat. This should be your first tip off that you have bought into Satan's trap. Put on the full armor of God to withstand the wiles of the Devil.
Sure, I'll admit that I still get some odd looks from my college students when the topic comes up, but I simply blow big holes in the already weak 'theory' of a spherical planet. I love it when I put a theoretical conventional "globe" model of the earth next to my God approved, Bible approved real model of the earth, then PROVE to my stunned students that once again God got it right and science got it wrong! Once an arrogant new student told me that if the earth was really flat, half the people would fall off. I simply corrected him by stating, if the earth was round, everybody would fall off! Seek the truth and the truth will set you free!
