No, of course not. I was simply speculating as to whether French was considered a tongue? In fact, what does constitute a tongue exactly? I am willing to take back my statement if a foreign language is truly considered ungodly.

Praise God for that you had me worried for a moment. I would suggest that as the True Christian™ members of Landover Baptist Church say that American English is Gods language then anything that is not American English must be speaking in TONGUES including my own language Australian English. Why would anyone want to speak french anyway they eat horrible things like frogs and snails, I think the french are possessed by something evil. The Pastors and the True Christian™ Members of the Church a never wrong, and as I am not a True Christian™ I am not about to question authority and neither should you. YIC

What has me concerned here is that the original Bible texts were not transcribed in English, as it did not exist in the form we know today? Surely Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek is the true language of God? I would be interested to know where in the Bible it states that American English specifically is the true language of God.

Very well, where in the King James V 1611 Bible does it say American English is the language of God? I am more than happy to learn from the LBC, who I am sure you do not represent, but I am equally unwilling to see a man persecuted for speaking in French- his mother tongue.

I persecute no one I was simply pointing out the Truth... I am really confused now - so are saying his mother speaks in tongues as well, how do you know this? What interest do you have in his mother?

Now what you should do is sit and read the KJV1611 Bible from front cover to back cover if you find where it says that "American English is not the chosen language of God" then please highlight the Biblical reference and post it here for all to see.

Ye, but equally it does not say anywhere that it is the language of God, so you cannot assume that it is without proof in scripture.

"For then will I turn to the people a pure language" you've assumed that this 'pure language' refers to English. You shouldn't twist God's words to your own purposes
