He did have an encouraging sounding name at least though, in a way. Like a kind of 'Attaboy' title.

Town Square Justice?!? You must be kidding. This is a secular, democratic country. I don't need to ask anybody's permission for anything.
Kemal would not allow you to wear a scarf. (or as we call it: "modest apparel".)
Right?
Personally, I'm not a big fan of Attaturk. Yes, he did save some tiny bit of the Ottoman empire, but he also introduced a lot of non-secular rules.
Would you say he was "tolerant"?

You seem a bit defensive dear. I know women are prone to irrational sensitivity, but if you would simply calm down, we are here to help you.Originally posted by Fatimah View PostYes I am a woman.
No I don't need nobody's permission to use a computer.
No am not a commie.
And no I did not mean to compare Jesus with anybody. I understand you may find this offensive.
But please understand that I find the way you talk about women offensive too.
Maybe you can guide me on where to start to know more about Jesus and Christianity, rather than discussing my sexual and political orientation.
Thank you.
Earlier you stated that you were unsure if you were a lesbian. Is this possibly the source of your unreasonable anger? Trust me dear, I know what it is like to be unloved by God and to have unnatural yet undeniable sexual urges. As a cured Ex-Gay©, I may be the best person on these forums with whom to discuss these latent lesbian tendencies you are struggling with.

I think Fatimah is a female name, unless it is a case of misspelling. Perhaps Fatwa is what he meant to type.Originally posted by Titus Caldwaller View PostNo sir, I checked and it has yet to be clarified. But what do I know? I'm still Unsaved Trash.

Miss, Brother Portway may have a rather brusque way of communicating, but he is a True Christian™, and as such you will treat him with the respect he has earned while you are a guest on our holy boards.Originally posted by Fatimah View PostYes, I would rather you were tree-hugging liberals. Wow, you sound strange.
And while we welcome peoples of all stripes here, we are proud of our American conservative beliefs and we will proudly proclaim them on our forum. Please, do not think that simply because we have an open door policy, that we for even one second would support Chinese communist propaganda being posted on our forums.
In the future, please refrain from comparing our Lord to communist criminals like Che Guevarra and Chairman Mao. Oh, and I would be remiss if I did not welcome you to our forum.

You will have to forgive Brother Portaway, he just came back from a missionary mission over Thailand and Egypt and is a bit tired and annoyed from sitting on the tarmac for the last two weeks eating vending machine cheese sandwiches.Originally posted by Fatimah View PostYes, I would rather you were tree-hugging liberals. Why would you want us to be liberals? We do not want your money, we want to give to you the love of Jesus.

Re: Hello from Istanbul!
You might be right about the gender thing. Sometimes it is hard to tell unless you see a mustache and even then, you cannot be 100% sure. We shall have to see if the gender issue is clarified. Until then, questioning about permission seems a little presumptive.Originally posted by Titus Caldwaller View PostDear Mr. Hutchins,

You seem to be an open, giving man like many of us here. We get so many evil doers who come here just to post pornographic pictures or say swear words, just to make us upset.Originally posted by Fatimah View Post

Anyways, for the rest of you thanks for your kind welcome.
And what I like most about Jesus is that , I mean the way I see it is, he was the Che Guevara of his time. He was the leader of the poor and common people against the materialistic, powerful, animal-sacrificing religious class.
To me it looks like it was a spiritual-communist revolution.
On the other hand I love the confused, depressed and lost Jesus in Kazancakis' novel.
But I don't know much about this subject to be honest.
I do not think Jesus would like to be compared to Che or even Fidel. I suppose you could compare them yo Him though. You have to admit, God is light years ahead of any mere mortal man.
Jesus was not materialistic because he had no need to be. He already had EVERYTHING. God created the Heavens and the Earth and as such, it is and was His to do with as He saw fit. So If you gave Jesus a dead fish, weren't you really just giving Him something He already owns? In reality, we all take from Him and that is one of the multitude of reasons you have to prostrate yourself, get down on your knees and thank Him profusely.
I have not read the Krackistan novel. But I have read the KJV, it is a Good Book.

So are you some sort of Chinamen? I didn't know they had Chinamen in Turkey. Do you wear one of those round hats that looks like a little lampshade with a tassel on it?Originally posted by Fatimah View PostI have both western and oriental qualities etc.
But after reading these forums I feel this is even more conservative and intolerant than what people around me are practicing. Not to mention your condescending view towards us women.
