  • hello, how do like racing?

Hello, im from the midwest and find this religion very interesting and i'd like to find out more. I can most likely find the info im looking for by looking around but I got a question that may not have been asked before: what is the official opinion of the church on motorsports of all types?

I am learning the trade of an automotive technician and I love racing so this is fairly important to me.

    Dear Friend,

If you can find a good word in the KJV 1611 for racing cars, you should feel free to proceed. Otherwise, safest not to. Your salvation is at stake!

You need to start wearing a helmet, young lady...it seems you've taken a few too many taps on the noggin.

          Dear Friend,

Win-win-win! You forgot to mention the Devil also wins when you take action unsupported by the Bible. He wins the right to molest your puckered anus for all eternity.

          Enjoy your cars, bud.

          Yours in Him,

Re: hello, how do like racing?

It depends on whether or not your racing is of faith. It sounds like a secular pursuit to me, though, which is damnable.

            Romans 14:23
And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Can't you find worthier pursuits, like spreading the Gospel or praying?
            II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Re: hello, how do like racing?

Racing is only good if you have Jesus as your life mechanic. You have to let Him set your timing, lap your valves, change your jets, work your injection pump. You have to read the Holy service manula, the KJV1611 Bible. You must attend training seminars at Gods Facility. You must only use Jesus approved parts in your God given speed machine.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: hello, how do like racing?

First off, im a guy, and i have to wear a helmet on track.

I race because it is fun and enjoyable, and i see God for a 3 count going into every turn before i brake, as the old saying goes "wait til you see God, count to 3, then brake."

Spreading the gospel and praying dont get the blood and testosterone flowing nearly as effectivly as drive at my cars' and my own limits around a track.

When Jesus walked the earth, there were no cars. He wouldnt know what to do with a steering wheel in His hands, much less a wrench.

As far as the devils' concerned: im fairly certain he prefers the women to men, he doesnt seem to send off fag vibes to me anyway.

So, you're better than Jesus Christ?

Re: hello, how do like racing?

not neccassarily, Hes' just never done it, that I am aware of. And I know for a fact that He's never touched a bolt on my car. If He wants, He's more than welcome to fix the rust, put in a cage, some cams and some other bits n pieces. I bet He'd even be one heckuva tuner and set-up guy if He put his mind to it.

btw injector pumps are only on diesels, i race and drive gassers.

If it helps to better the case for racing: democrats hate it because of the environmental concerns, as do the sierra club and many other environmentalist organizations, and sen. john mccain's wife and son are activly involved in drifting, a form of motorsport that is traced back to japan, and the only form of motorsport where the winner is not determined by a stop watch.

They use stopwatches at the Indy 500?

You are aware that this is a Christian forum, aren't you boy?

Now start praising Jesus or there is little reason for us to tolerate your idle chatter.
