See who's rambling now! I wonder which part of my post necessitated that reply. How does this relates to the subject at hand?!!

But if you don't believe me even now, Jesus says Himself that He came not to bring peace, but a sword, and to bring strife between people:

Matthew 10:34-36:
Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Ok, it's 'follow the leader time'. Since leadership is about influencing other people, how many people (i.e. unbelievers) did Jesus kill or put to the sword? And since you claim to follow His lead, how many unbelievers have you killed? If you can't answer that perhaps you could tell me how many people Jesus raised from the dead? Did Jesus bear a sword in his entire life?

In addition to this, consider the words Peter spoke after receiving the Holy Spirit:

Acts 3:20-24:
And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

People who do not hear that prophet (Jesus) shall be destroyed from among the people.

"....shall be destroyed from among the people." By whose hand? The Christians? If so, how come none of the Apostles ever executed this 'command'? Why did they choose to disobey God?

Additionally, the Pharisees were just like you; they also rejected the parts of the Old Testament they didn't like. Jesus rebukes them, and says they are sinful hypocrites because they do not kill people who curse their parents:

Paul tells us that quite a lot of things are "worthy of death!"

So, friend, I think we can be sure that the New Testament indeed asks us to kill people for certain transgressions. That's no interpretation; that's the literal reading of the Bible.

Again I say, how many people did Jesus, Paul, or any of the other Apostles kill? Rather, isn't it true that a certain adulteress due to be stoned to death (as the law required) was actually saved by Jesus? Why did Jesus 'break' the law, then?
