Re: I challenge Wash O'Hanley to a debate.
So what, you throw out a bunch of philosophy 101 questions, then if nobody answers you within the hour you assume that we're stumped?
I think you're confusing righteous judgement and rebuking with hatred there, buddy. We're commanded by the Holy Bible to point out the sinfulness in others.
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine." 2 Timothy 4:2
Now why don't you tell us how a True Christian™ should act. Be sure to back your answer with the appropriate scripture. Hint: we don't need to welcome unrepentant sinners with open arms.
Just because you've obviously never read the Bible and have no idea what you're talking about doesn't mean there are contradictions in the Bible. There are NO contradictions in the Bible.
There is no problem of evil. God is responsible for all of the "evil" in the world, and there is nothing in the Bible that suggests that He wouldn't be.
"I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things." Isaiah 45:7
God is enigmatic because He wants so-called "intellectuals" like yourself to be confused by His glorious message and then to burn in Hell eternally for not accepting Him. He wants you to have FAITH.
"But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;" 1 Corinthians 1:27
"But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
The belief that God is omnibenevolent is an unscriptural heresy, sunshine!
Yeah, great job repackaging the Paradox of the Stone. I've personally answered that dumb old question too many times to count.
No, it's not true. Once you have enough FAITH you realize that that isn't a contradiction at all!
"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." Matthew 19:26
If you read my thread about the Paradox of the Stone you'll realize that God is so powerful He isn't bound by the rules of logic and rationality at all! It's totally within His power to make 2+2=5, make square circles and too simultaneously grant us free-will and predestine us!
Brother Nobar already pointed out that even the secularists believe things can spontaneously create themselves. Just because you don't like an answer doesn't make it true.
Yes. Every time one of my prayers is answered, then it's proof of divine intervention. On the other hand, every time one of my prayers isn't answered, then the only thing that proves is I need to re-evaluate myself and be a better Christian.
Why don't you ask the 33% of the world that self-identifies as Christians that question, or maybe the 22% of the world that self-identifies as Muslims.
Now explain how a privately-owned website violates your freedom to follow a false god.
Yeah, like we haven't heard that claptrap before.
Just because you're being obstinate and impatient does not make us stupid, buttercup!
Wash O'Hanley is a busy man. What's your problem, you can't conceive of being away from the internet for a day or two?
Just because you dress something up in some pseudo-flowery language doesn't mean you have anything to say. Nobody here likens God to a dream, we all accept His reality totally and literally.
I'll remind you once again that we are blessed by your persecution.
"Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you." Matthew 5:10-12

Do you understand the contradictions in scriptures in the Bible? How do you explain the problem of evil? Why is God so afraid, so enigmatic? If he is all powerful, don't you think he would do a better job of revealing himself?

Such a God would do a much better job of gathering believers. Hell too. Eternal damnation for actions committed in a finite existence contradicts God's omnibenevolence and omnipresence.

Answer this, if you can: Could God, since he is all powerful, create a being more powerful than himself?
Answer this, if you can: The argument from free will contests the existence of an omniscient god who has free will — or has allotted the same freedom to his creations — by arguing that the two properties are contradictory. According to the argument, if God already knows the future, then humanity is destined to corroborate with his knowledge of the future and not have true free will to deviate from it. Therefore our free will contradicts an omniscient god. Another argument attacks the existence of an omniscient god who has free will directly in arguing that the will of God himself would be bound to follow whatever God foreknows himself doing throughout eternity. Is this not true?

Answer this: What created God. Something cannot create itself.
I am disappointed. God hasn't helped you passionate believers. Every time you pray for something, do you see visible help from Him?
Sometimes I wonder how you can be so passionate about something as enigmatic and cowardly as God. How can you?
I believe in the right to freedom of religion, but I will fight you when you violate mine.

I never forgive. I never forget. Prepare yourself.

It is interesting. You liken God to a dream. Perceiving and creating at the same time, but you True Christians ™ are so against dreams. Explain your own contradictions.
I am assuming direct control.
