Re: Hello
Spain was once staunchly Catholic but when gay marriage was made legal six years back two-thirds of Catholics here approved much to the Pope’s disgust. The king, supposedly defender of the [Catholic] faith, signed it into law with a grin. Good luck to the gays but that was a sideshow and there’s bigger fish to fry, no?

What a wonderful selection of Scripture! Humility is one of the many marks of a True Christian(tm).Originally posted by tiempo View PostTell us what church you go to - I'm a Baptist in Spain with no church for miles.
What your favorite Bible verse is - Psalm 131.
How you came to find Jesus - He found me.
I believe God has led me to this forum to give me the intellectual rigor and philosophical precision usually provided by a True Christian™ church.
And I'm happy to see you're not a Catholic. There indeed is hope for you, even if you DO think it is OK to be gay.

Ah, military cleaning ladies.
I remember we had them back in my day too. No one could make a urinal used and abused by 500 19 YO soldiers sprkle and shine like a military female. It appears the top one was doing stall duty. She missed a spot.

Mexicans have both Spanish and native American ancestry, while the Spanish have only Caucasian ancestry, and beaner isn't a correct ethnic slur - dago or possibly latrino would be better. Be a bit careful where you use them though dude.Originally posted by Nobar King View PostShe writes pretty good, for a beaner. Were you home schooled?

Only time I went to a bullring was to a Bob Dylan concert, but sadly there were no bulls (although we couldn’t make up our mind about the bass player). Bulls are only a problem if you should go out without your grenade launcher and taser, but we can all agree that's asking for trouble.Originally posted by Yea-tho-we-walk View PostTiempo, when you are not waiving a red cape in a large arena to aggravated a bull, what else do you people do over there? It seems like it would be hard to get any shopping done with bulls constantly running loose in every city and every street. I know a couple who were planning on a trip over there to get one of those leather things you people drink wine out of, but the wife is terrified of bulls since an animal husbandry incident several years back left her in a near comatose condition.
Animal husbandry incidents are a growing menace worldwide.

You should visit Spain then, gay marriage is legal here. Theirs is always the best team at Carnival, dressed as show girls dancing to a Diana Ross or Beyonce track.Originally posted by James Hutchins View PostI should hope you do not hold anything against Homers! Well, except for the straight guys pretending to be gays dressed as show girls of course, but that goes without saying.
PS: Can't find a way to reply to your PM - thanks for the award, that was very kind. We’re on a dirt track nine kilometers from the nearest web station and connect via a microwave link.

The Bible traveled with us to Spain. Next year we hope to get something called the internet that the Red Cross is introducing here, and then I can buy a new one from amazon, glory be to God.

You're right about the buildings but now only around 14% of Catholics attend church regularly here. Many associate the RCC with the hated past of Franco and in any case have a hankering for condoms.Originally posted by Nobar King View PostNo churches in Spain? I though you could throw a rosary over there and never miss one.
The average age of priests is 68 - in a country where everyone is oriented around family it's not hard to see why men prefer any other career.

Yes, never thought of it that way, being weaned is neat. That is also a favorite chapter of mine. It makes me happy that I am humble, and of course that I was weaned.
See I'm learning already.
I was afraid that would come up. The KJV verily makes my head swim. Must admit to owning a NIV.Well, you can listen to us all day long, but in the end the 1611 KJV Bible is the final authority. Maybe He led you here just so you can see that there are other people on the path with you!

How many sons have you provided for God so far?
Does your husband prefer the filling or the crust of your pie?
Where did you get a Bible if there are no Churches where you are?

Thanks for the welcome!Originally posted by Yea-tho-we-walk View PostTiempo, welcome!
We love hearing from you people in backwards third world countries to keep us abreast of Biblical events. Have you heard about any wars or rumors of wars? How about any earthquakes in your diverse places? Also, when was the last time that locusts devastated your crops?
We’ve got some planes in the Libyan gig, just some of those old F-18s we got from that place north of Mexico before you get to Canada, oh it's on the tip of my tongue, that country where they keep arguing about whether their president was born yet.
Locusts devastate our crops every alternate Tuesday to keep us on the straight and narrow. Isn’t that standard everywhere?
