  • hello all!

my name is stephanie and i stumbled upon this site. i live in a very religious town, (not to brag but at one point we had the most churches per capita than any other place in the world), anyways i decided it may be worth my time to join! my favourite bible verse is 1 thessalonians 5:21 "test all things and cling to that which is good"
how are all of you doing today? nice to be here, and i'm looking forward to potentially getting to know some of you.

    Hello Stephanie!

I am also a big fan of 1 Thessalonians 5:21, but the version you posted is not from the KJV. Here is how it should read:

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
Doesn't that sound a lot nicer? Rolls right off the tongue!

Also, do you have your father's permission to post here?

    Yours in Christ,

    Z. Smyth

Hi Stephanie and welcome. You say you come from a very religious town with lots of Churches, but be honest, how many of the congregation have actually read the whole Bible? have you? It is easy to fill up buildings with mindless lemmings. I hope you are different.

      Greetings

          Re: hello all!

Excuse my usage of the wrong version, I was going off of the version of that quote I learned when I was younger, from now on i'll be sure to use the kjv version, you're right- it sounds SO much better! And of course I have my father's permission, I never do anything without my father approving first.

Jack, thanks for the welcome! In all honesty, i'm sure most of them have not completely read the bible, it's a shame, because they're missing out on some great words. Most of the people there are just children from the community there to socialize, instead of being social with their peers they should be speaking to God and making good life choices. As for me, I have read the bible entirely, as I was made when I was but a child. I'm proud to be different from the majority, and I hope that the others in my community can follow in the example i'm trying to portray to them

Well if you have read the entire Bible you are better than 90% of the unsaved trash, lukewarm selective Christians and idol worshipping catholics who turn up here. Have you tried to get the rest of your town to read the whole Bible?

              Re: hello all!

Welcome Stephanie. I trust your husband has filed a permission slip for you with Miss Cookie in the Church office. I'll check later.

How many sons have you born for Jesus? What cleaning agents work best and what ones become toxic if mixed? Does your husband like your pie best when it is all hot and oozing or does he prefer it a bit cooler and thicker?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
