  • Hello!

Hi there, my name is Emily-Anne Kirk. I'm eighteen years of age, and I live in Australia, though that's something that will hopefully be changed in the near future!

I was raised by athiests [HOW DID I SURVIVE!?], but I've seen the light and refuse to follow in the path that would surely send me to forever burn in the high flames of hell!

I'm looking forward to meeting some True Christians that could perhaps help me on my path to becoming a righteous person, to leave my old destiny far behind.

I'm not sure what else to say, so I suppose I'll leave it at that. Thank you!

    Emily-Anne.

    Re: Hello!

Welcome young lady. How many sons have you slid out for Jesus?

Do you serve a steaming moist pie or a thick cool one?

How long have you dropped to your knees for God's love?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Oh, none yet, sir. I'm woefully unattached, at the moment. No wholesome Christian men around here!

It depends, but I do prefer steaming-hot moist pies to serve. Thick cool ones can be nice in summer, though!

Only the past two years. But certainly, that will never end!

          My goodness, young lady!

Welcome to our Godly forum, but the hairstyle is surely why you have trouble attracting a True Christian™ man. Is that a negroidal afro?

The Bible has this to say.

1 Corinthians 11:5-6 "But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven."

"For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered."
It's clear that you should either cover your head with a modest bonnet or shave that mess off.

In any event, welcome. And we are here to help you find a personal relationship with God, praise Him!

Matthew 19:14 "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Oh goodness, it's not an afro, I assure you! I had set my hair in curls, and was trying to brush them out neatly, but they resisted! I'll change my picture this instant, I don't want people thinking I'm a negro!

              Thank you so much, sir.

My parents were insulting some good, wholesome Baptists from a church near our home...and honestly, I couldn't stand for it any more. They were being so horrible, when they weren't making any sense, whereas the Baptists were making nothing but perfect sense! That night, I knelt, and shut my eyes, and called Jesus into my heart. I felt him deep inside me, and I knew that it was right! I went to the church the next day and got saved properly. It was wonderful. <3

Oh, none...they never did that. I rather think my parents were more interested in little boys...

Yes, thank you so much for the links. I'd read them earlier, but I re-read them, just to make sure everything sunk in. Thank you so much, sir!

                    Hello Emily-Anne.

I'm glad I didn't get to see you in an afro (or abo-fro?), as the hairstyle you have in your current avatar looks nice and sensible.

Tell me, what is your favorite Bible verse, and why? There are no wrong answers...I just want to get to know you better.

                    Yours in Christ,

It's not so much the hair, it's the kabuki-mask-painted-on-a-balloon face that is distressing. Are you in good health, friend? Had your blood pressure checked lately? I would hate to see you drop dead prematurely because you (understandably) used Hostess Ho-Ho therapy to cope with your atheist upbringing. When I saw your pic, I shouted GLORY because I thought for a moment Roseann Barr finally got saved.

landoverlover: I am in very good health, actually. I'm merely rather pale. I've never had a Hostess Ho-ho before, but I googled it, and they look rather yummy! I'm sorry to have disappointed and distressed you, though...
