Introduction: Pleased to be a part of the community

    Introduction

    1:27
    Bel and the Dragon
Then Daniel tooke pitch, fat, and haire, and did seethe them together, and made lumpes thereof: this hee put in theDragons mouth, and so the Dragon burst in sunder: and Daniel said, Loe, these are the gods you worship.

Hello brothers and sisters. My name is Matthew and I have been guided to this forum by a fellow close friend and saved soul.

    My Job
I have started this thread with my favourite verse. As a well educated, professional airline pilot I often find myself defending the position of my faith and our God, spawned from the idle tongues of coworkers on long distance flights. This verse is evidence of the lies atheist science uses to make us believe creatures existed on this earth before God. It reassures me in my convictions and amuses me.

As a pilot, I know first hand that the world is flat and does indeed have edges, I need no further evidence as I have witnesses Gods magnificent creation first hand!

    About Me
As a widower I spend the vast majority of my time bringing up my two children aged 4 and 6. My hobbies include reading scriptures both physical and online and I always include my children in these activities, they too themselves have favourite verses and it makes me the proudest father to see my eldest's conviction and faith and have often had him quoting scriptures at me! although sometimes his interpretation can be questionable!

As a piliot I often have to relocate around the world and I have seen a great deal of it. I have lived in the USA, UK and Germany and currently reside in the United Kingdom. Due to the constant moving, often I am unable to find a suitable church however my faith and my bible always travel with me and that is all I need.

Thank you for this message board, I aim to use it as a way to chat with my brothers and sisters all over the globe and I can't wait to meet and discuss things with you!

    - Matthew.

Hi Shela, It's absolutely magnificent, it's the reason I became a pilot.

I fly anything from single /dual engine prop's such as Cessna Skyhawks (My favourite to get out just myself and my kids) to large commercial Airbus A-series and boeing depending on the nature of the flight.

I am currently in the Preston area! as I am on secondment running cargo from Newcastle International to Kidlington (Oxfordshire) area. I need to be somewhere in the middle so I can go to either at short notice!

      Nice to meet you.

I suppose not, particularly in the greater scheme of things!

To elaborate on your question regarding being closer to God. Often I am able to look out of the window and reflect on Revelation 21:1

"And I saw a new heauen, and a new earth: for the first heauen, and the first earth were passed away, and there was no more sea"

It's beauty is almost too much to bear.

I always wondered, if you just keep flying higher and higher do you reach the limit eventually? Isn't it so tempting to look into heaven? I know one probably shouldn't do that.

I haven't tried because the Sun is only about 500 miles away and the airplane would burst into flames. At that altitude the sun is enormous and it's difficult to see anything at all, I plan on explaining some of my observation in the science section of this website. I have some interesting photos and observations of what the edge of the world looks like.

                  Hello Matthew!

How did Jesus snatch your bride from you, and what sins did she commit to deserve it? Spare no details on the sin part, friend: we can take it.

                  Yours in Christ,

Welcome to the forums! You sure sound like a good Christian and it is great that your kids are being raised in a Godly environment. However, you may want to correct your oldest son's "biblical interpretations". The Bible should never be "interpreted" and always taken literally!
