Hello,
I live on Oahu (Hawaii) and I don't really go to church anymore, but was trying to find people that would help & encourage me about God. I'm chirsitan, and I don't really know any bible verses by hears except John 3:16, so I guess thats my favorite? LoL.

I know I'm probably considered a "sinner" and have done things I'm not proud of. Hopefully I find people who are caring & not insulting here so I can get closer to God, and not pushed away.

nooo, my real name is Gypsy, I'm sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone, because my mother was a whore. I am not a liar, anymore that is. My mother taught me to lie & I had to teach myself how to be truthful through jesus. I do no fornicate nor do I steal. I came here for help, and I guess I can't get any unless I change my name for people to take me seriously.

If i change my name my mother has given me, does that mean I'm a liar? Because I don't want to be a liar, but I don't want christians to not accept me & call me a whore. I really want to go to church, but people look at e different, and call me names.

I am personally not aware of gypsys not being allowed in church. The Lord is very accepting of everybody. Of course if your mother was not married to your father then you will not be allowed in, nor will your descendants for ten generations but that is only fair.

If you are not a bastard then you should be allowed in. Just remain silent and if you have any questions ask a man after.

Your not a cripple are you? If so then there would be more restrictions.

Is it a sin to change my name?

As you know, My name is Gypsy. Yes, that is the name my mother has given me. Growing up I thought it was unique and cool, always getting attention by people, especially boys. But recently I found out my name means "prostitute". I didn't grow up in church, but now that I am 18, I'm starting to make my own decisions and wanted to go back to church. I love Jesus but I fear that he doesn't love me, because I was born from fornication and never met my father. I do not want a whore name. I try my best to bring my mother to understand the teachings of Christ but she's such a whore and wont listen to me. I understand I am suppose to honor my mother & father, but how do I honor such a whore?

I don't think I am a bastard. I think they happen to have been married (a cheap shameful vegas marriage) and he left her shortly when he found out she wasn't a virgin when they got married. I have never met him & i don't blame him for not wanting a virgin. But I am angry that he didnt want me, since I am indeed his child.

Hello, As you may know, my name is Gypsy, (i am NOT a whore) my name was changed...I want to get saved but someone told me they do not except gypsy's in churches...If I attempt to pray to Jesus will he ignore my prayers because my name means whore? Should I change my name? I am in desperate need of advice.

These are hard questions, and I am sure if you listen carefully to the Pastors and Male Elders here, they will tell you all you need to know.

There is nothing in the Bible prohibiting you from changing your name, and in fact, there are numerous instances when God Himself either changes a person's name or instructs them to do so.

More to the point, God will know you, and know you by name, regardless of who you are or what you call yourself:

Isaiah 43

Being you are a gypsy and a whore, and have not come here to spread the joyous word of Jesus. am not sure what we can do for you. We did lock down most of the items to prevent theft and are keeping the younger ones off line while you are about so you do not rape them.
If you came here to be forgiveness, you came to the wrong place, you need to read your KJV and pray to God for Him to accept you. Once you are not longer a gypsy and a whore let us know.

The practical problem with allowing Gypsies in church is that things always turn up.... "missing" .... up to and including pocket lint and burnt out matches. One set up a palm-reading stand in the lobby, and another tried selling her baby. Money is missing from the collection plates and replaced with IOUs. Just adds to the overhead.
