Hello everyone, I am a Christian anarchist. Now I know what you're thinking, "isn't that some kind of oxymormon?" Actually, no...here is proof of what we do and Scriptural justification.
1. We don't have much use for dogma or rituals. We wish that Christians were less preoccupied with performing rituals and preaching dogmatic theology, and more with following Jesus' teaching and practices. Jesus did not intend to be the founder of an institutional religion, and one of Jesus' intentions was to bypass human intermediaries and do away with priests, bishops, and ministers.
2. We follow Jesus' call not to resist evil and turn the other cheek, ergo we condemn the state state as the police and army are the key sources of violence in our world (in following the Sixth Commandment).
3. We believe in living simply...why build megachurches or on-site mansions when the money can be used to help the poor and otherwise underprivileged?
4. I know you like to use Romans 13:1-7 to refute us...but if we fight the power, we become too much like them. Ergo, we just let go, knowing that they'll ALL get what's coming to them on the Last Day. (Besides, I really think Paul was mainly responsible for the perversion of Christianity)
5. In accordance with Matthew 5:33-37, we do not believe in swearing any oaths to God or man (it's not "under God" that's evil, it's pledging allegiance itself)
6. I oppose the payment of taxes, but know you like to use Matthew 22:21 to refute my people. However, Jesus really was not speaking in support of us paying taxes, but in saying "let them be attached to the world, you be attached to God."
SCRIPTURAL JUSTIFICATION
Old Testament
Remember, God VERY RELUCTANTLY granted the Israelites' request of a king...Samuel warned them about the evils the State brings.
New Testament
See my signature for two very notable verses. Others include Jesus' opposition to human leadership (Matthew 23:8-12) and his refusal to be made king (Matthew 4:8-10 and John 6:15). And don't even get me started with the Beast-the State is the Beast.
I hope this clears things up.
