    Re: Hello other saved souls

A cautious welcome to you, young man. I am concerned by what appear to be two Negroes playing guitar in your avatar. Tell us, what are your thoughts on rock and roll?

You may find the following articles to be edifying:
"I'm unholy. Will you buy my music please?"
    Christian Rock: Blessing or Blasphemy?
    II Thessalonians 1:7-9
And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power

The man who is being progressively sanctified will inescapably sanctify his home, school, politics, economics, science, and all things else by understanding and interpreting all things in terms of the Word of God and by bringing all things under the Dominion of Christ the King. -R.J. Rushdoony

I wouldn't consider myself too young at 54. That picture is of me and my son in the good old days reaching out to the young lost souls through the only language they could understand, rock and roll.

How do you square this with God's commandment to live isolated from the wickedness of the world? The Scriptures tell us that we are to have nothing to do with that which is unclean.

        Ephesians 5:11
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

        II Thessalonians 3:6
Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.

        James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

Only backslidden, carnal Christians, who refuse to yield to the Holy Spirit, could ever think rock music was the will of God.
