  • I am unsaved and need help

I am unsaved and I need help getting to christ. All my life I have thought of God as only some weird guy, but the craziest thing has happened to me the other day! I was in line to get my pay check from work, which I really needed. And when I got up to the lady, she told me that I was fired and could not collect my weeks pay. I was devistated and started to cry. As I did I kept telling myself that I could not pay for my house or my car without the money. I then remember that about a month or so earlier my friend took me to his church. At the time I just shoved it off and walked my life as usual. I then started to pray to God, cause I had no where else to turn, I told him I was tired of walking the wrong way and sorry for everything I had ever done. I then asked him to get me out of this situation I was in. And just as I said that, a man came up to me and asked me what was wrong, cause I was in tears sitting on a bench outside of the store. He then told me that God was looking out for me and gave me a letter then walked off. I was sort of like, what was that about? But then I opened it and it was full of money! And the money In it was more than enough to pay 2 weeks rent for my house and car! I was so happy that I got up and started dancing! I thanked God for this gift and I am looking for a church right now!

This is where I need help, I have never been a christian, and need help. I don't know what there is to it, and I don't even have a bible yet. I need help praying, I'm still new and not sure exactly how. Please help me, I beg of you!

Oh and the name is the only thing I could describe myself as.

No, I cried out of saddness. Have you never ever cried in your whole life? I had no where else to turn and no way of getting out. And I take huge offence to you just accusing me of being somehting that I am not. You don't know me personaly.

Welcome aboard, Filthy! With a name like that, you must performed quite a lot of filthy, unnatural acts. Please tell us about all of them, in as much detail as possible, so we'll know how best to help you.

ok, well as you can see, I deserve to be called filthy and unsaved. I have done horrible things. I guess I could make a list, but please do not judge me by them. I need help with them.
          I do drugs constantly
          I watch pornography without thinking
I have slept with many many prostitutes
I lie on my tax forms
I have cheated on 3 girlfriends
I have killed a man (i think) and not sure what happened to him
I hated God for 7 years, but now I love him
I have masterbated almost everynight and it is hard to stop.

I think that is about it, I'm still thinking though. I want to get it all out on the table for everyone to help me, I really really do want to change for the better.

When you mention cheating on girlfriends, I assume you mean sex?

If so, you need to understand that, regardless of whether there was infidelity, the mere fact that you had a girlfriend makes you an adulterer, unless you're telling us you never had sex with your girlfriend and never had impure thoughts about her.

            Matthew 5:28

But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Even if that's the case, however, it still makes God very unhappy to think of you "going steady" with any girl that you're not formally engaged to.

Note that a "wholesome variety of young men friends" should only be construed as to mean friendships formed at church functions with adult supervision and NO shenanigans or physical contact!

lol, Well I'm not much of a Cowboys or Bears fan, but I can relate if it were the Patriots. And I honestly have only cried maybe 3 times in my whole life. So it was rare of me to cry.

It's very simple, friend. You have to tell Jesus you're sorry and you have to promise never to do it again!

And then you have to get baptized in order to make that promise stick:

                      Acts 2:38

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

I understand you are quite reasonably distressed about all the filthy things you've already done, but the Good News™ is that when you get baptized (provided the baptism is performed by a pastor from Landover Baptist Church and not by some false Christian), all of your sins are washed away!

                      Acts 22:16

And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

It's like life is a game of Monopoly and Jesus just gave you a "Get Out of Hell Free" card!

Well my father was a good man, he wasn't religious if that is what you're asking. And I don't understand why you are being rude and calling me and my father both gay. He had a wife and I used to have a wife. But I'm not gay. And this comming from the Pastor?

How could your father be a "good man" and an atheist at the same time? It's impossible! Only a nancy-boy would with hold the rod of discipline from his own son.

Crying is one thing, shameful in itself. But blabbing about it all over the interwebz is truly disgusting. Only a fudgepacker would do something like that.
