Hello!

I've been reading your forum for a while and I decided to join here to learn more about your thoughts about religion and God.

I'm 19 years old student from Finland and I've reacently quit my church because I didn't see eye-to-eye with them. Your teachings are closer to my beliefs. Like I said I'd like to know more about your cult (I hope cult is the right word, sry if not) and I have some questions which I hope gets answered.

You seem to take Bible really literally am I right?
What do you think of other religions like Muslims etc.?
How about gay people?
Do I have to know the hole Bible to join you guys (I've read it though)

You seem to take Bible really literally am I right?

Except for the passages that are clearly marked as not being literal, such as the parables, we read the Bible as intended, i.e., literally. Please see this thread.

What do you think of other religions like Muslims etc.?

What matters is what Jesus thinks, and He was crystal clear:

John 3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

How about gay people?

Again, what matters is what God thinks:

1 Cor. 6:9-10: Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

Do I have to know the hole Bible to join you guys (I've read it though)

Yet again, let's ask Jesus what He thinks:

Matt. 4:4: But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

If you had read the Bible like you say, you would know the answer to all these questions.

The Bible tells us to take it word for word.

Matthew 4:4 Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

The Bible tells us that other religions are evil.

2 John 1:10-11 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.


The Bible tells us that homosexuality is evil.

Leviticus 20:13 (King James Version) 13If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Welcome, friend! I must caution you, though, that it is the height of folly to go shopping around for a church that conforms to your beliefs.

That your beliefs may be compatible with the Landover Baptist Church's teachings is certainly good news, as that means you have one less barrier between yourself and God's truth.

Keep in mind, however, that belief is a very poor substitute for knowledge. Plenty of deluded idiots in this world have beliefs about God, but here at Landover, we seek to know God.

If you'd like to know God, just get yourself a 1611 King James Bible and read his inerrant word!

Yes I know I should know the answer to all these questions but like I said I was mislead in the past by another "church". That is the reason i left the church.

I also wonder how God feels about Jews. I mean jews do believe in God and Jesus was a jew was he not?

Oh dear. It appears we have more work ahead of us, and you have more lies to unlearn, than I'd previously thought.

I recently trolled Yahoo Answers in order to entrap Jews into admitting what they really believed about God, and I really did hit paydirt with the answers they gave me:

Yes. There is no contradiction in terms when you refer to an "Atheist Jew". I don't believe in a God. But I am Jewish, I still keep a lot of traditional stuff - e.g. Separate meat and milk cutlery and crockery, all my meat is from a Kosher butcher.

However, I don't object to praying with a congregation but rarely go voluntarily. There is a daily service at my place of work and I go if they need people to make up a "minyan" (10 males over the age of 13) as I can follow a service in Hebrew. I only to go to Synagogue if my parents force me (and for weddings).

Ok sorry about that. I was mislead again. I was told that Jesus Christ was a jew and Christianity was created after Jesus.

Now Muslims are not christians but "their god" is same os ours (Allah means looslytranslated the same God). And my muslim friend told me that in Islam Jesus is cosidered a profet among others, and these two religions have something else in common for example they both are religions of Abraham.

Now since Bible is Gods word - and thus true - and muslims have the same God that makes Quran also true. So how can you people hate muslims for believing in the same God as you do based on the book (Quran) that was written by Allah an handed over to propeths to spread all over the world? You are basicly the same.

Please correct me if I'm wrong

You are wrong.

We don't hate anybody, friend. It's God who hates people that practice false religions, because those people are actively deceiving His children and condemning them to eternal hellfire.

We love Muslims, and have no greater desire than to free them from the bondage of their queer beliefs.

And no, the Muslims do not worship the same God we worship, and their assertion to the contrary does not in any way legitimize the Quran any more than a Mormon's claim to being Christian would legitimize the mad science fiction scribblings of Joseph Smith.

Christians consider Jesus to be more than just a prophet; we consider Him to be the Second Person of the Holy Trinity. As for whether God gave the Qur'an, the Bible and the Qur'an disagree on some key points. If the same God gave them both, that God would be the author of confusion, which He is not (1 Cor. 14:33), if not an outright liar, which again He is not (Titus 1:2). Therefore, God did not give them both. Instead, the "Allah" to whom the Qur'an is attributed is actually a pagan moon demon.

God didn't bother to mention how many daughters they have. It is almost totally irrelevant. Only sons matter.
