Hello i just wanted to say that after reading your threads i am truly appalled. I am not here to flame you but make an atempt to save you from your sins so that you may spend eternity with Jesus. I was outraged to read some of your ideas about what should happen to a raped women. Many of you said she should marry the attacker and not prosecute which would be a sin for not following the law of the land as preached by Jesus. By not reporting a crime you become an accessory to that crime which is a Sin. I would love for you to explain some of these ideals that you possess and give me scripture references to back them up. Also selling a daughter is a Sin. Marriage cannot be purchased because as the Bible teaches there needs to be love their for the marriage. If their is not love then their marriage will not glorify God every day.

Re: My introduction
Where does the Bible say love is required for marriage? Where does it say you can't sell your daughter after she caused herself to be raped?
I think you're due for a name change, young lady, as you seem to be utterly unfamiliar with the Sweet Words of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Yours in Christ,
Z. Smyth

Of course its not a sin to sell your daughter.Originally posted by Truly Saved View PostHello i just wanted to say that after reading your threads i am truly appalled. Exodus 21:7 And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the menservantst do.
*8If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
*9And if he have betrothed her unto his son, he shall deal with her after the manner of daughters.
*10If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.Genesis 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

Re: My introduction
Friend, I'm really glad you've chosen to join God's favorite forum, but please understand that if you're saying you're appalled by what is taught here, you are essentially saying you're appalled by the Bible.Originally posted by Truly Saved View PostHello i just wanted to say that after reading your threads i am truly appalled. If you can document any instance of a Landover teaching contradicting what's in the Bible, I'd love to know about it.WARNING:

Re: My introduction
You have made a lot of outrageous statements in that single paragraph. Can you back each one of them up with scripture? If you notice, True Christians(tm) provide scriptural support. Our beliefs are not fuzzy bunny wishes but come straight from God's own 1611 King James Bible.Originally posted by Truly Saved View PostHello i just wanted to say that after reading your threads i am truly appalled. Re: My introduction
I feel so bad for people like you, you were given a false bible and told it was the word of god. Im sorry for what this has done to you and your faith. You have been reading the NIV right?Originally posted by Truly Saved View PostHello i just wanted to say that after reading your threads i am truly appalled. The law of the land preached by Jesus? The law of the land where he was happened to be the OT and latter the NT, you should really read the real bible and THEN talk to use about it.

Re: My introduction
Welcome friend. Why do you have such a strong distaste for Gods Holy Word(r) as provided in the 1611 KJV Bible? Does the perfection of His Word bother you that it clearly is the only way to be?Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: My introduction
Help me out here Nabila; I see that you've made two posts here, so, logically, your other post besides this one should be an introductory thread which you would have started in accordance with this forum's rules.Originally posted by nabila1230 View Postwell come to the forum, i am also new and hope that we will enjoy with the landover baptist church forum

The puzzling thing, Nabila, is that I can not find your introductory thread. Would you kindly direct me to it so that I may extend to you a warm welcome?WARNING:
